Forum URL: countryconservatives.proboards.com/We have a member, Paisley2, who's been trying to login for about a month, but her password is somehow incorrect according to ProBoard's system. Not being especially computer literate (I can spell IBM and that's about it) can you give some advice as to what she might do? She mentioned that her password isn't working on a couple other sites, but I failed to ask her if they were ProBoards sites.
Thanks in advance for you assistance.

Hey ozarkstom, the best thing to suggest, is an item that should be the default item on not being able to login. I recommend telling her to reset her password. This is done by going to the login page, and clicking/tapping on the "forgot your password?" text, under the password field. It will then ask for the username or email of the account. An email will then be sent that will allow the password to her account to be changed.

Thanks for your quick response. She's had this problem before, hence the "2" after her name. Her current email address on her account is no longer valid, so I'm guessing she needs to reset her email to current, then reset her password.
A question, if she has membership in another ProBoards site will this affect the "global password"? I'm not sure what a "global password" is, but I've seen it mentioned.
Thanks, Tom

ozarkstom - All accounts under the same email address use the same password (global account password), and are thus affected by a password change. Most often password issues result from: - not entering the correct password
- having a space either before or after the entered password
- having caps lock on (either when entering or at the time of setting it up or resetting)

Thanks, I've got a hunch her email change is her problem. I'll pass this along.
