Prevent Guests From Posting

I seem to be having a mental blank as I have another forum which I created many years ago and managed to achieve a situation where guests could view the forum, but not be able to post.

I am struggling to find out how I did this. I am sure there is a simple answer which someone will, no doubt, enlighten me on.

To allow visitors to see the forum but not make any posts or threads:

Go to Admin > Structure > Categories & Boards.
For each of the boards, double-click to edit the board's properties. Go to the Permissions tab. Leave the first two settings (view and access) set to "Everyone" and then all the rest set to "Members & Staff". Save Changes.

Thank you. It seems then that I was on the right track. I just did not look at the right board as I have now found just one that did not have it's permissions set correctly. Thank for your confirmation.
