Forum URL: wattflyer2.freeforums.net/The author of WattFlyer2 discussion forum has experienced issues which are inconsistant...appear to have begun with a software update. The issue I reference is an inability to hyperlink an image to provide an additional resource for subscribers utilizing any thread. 1: Currently a subscriber is unable to link an image file of any format to a resource within WattFly2 or elsewhere on the net. 2: Currently the feature permits entering a text hyperlink to another resource...but only when a word (Link is default) is entered in the link builder pop-up. It fails if an image is hi-lighted (typical protocol) then link address is entered in the link builder pop-up address field. 3: The feature is currenetly failing if added to a post. HOWEVER...an older thread entry with a hyperlink... IS STILL WORKING correctly. 4. What does the WattFlyer2 owner need to do to "restore" this hyper-link attribute? Your discussion forum format is excellent. You have chosen well! Please help me help Mr. Sims restore functionality to WattFlyer2 ASAP. Thanking you in advance. Ed Clayman WattFlyer2 subscriber.

Hi Could you cite an example of the links that are being added when it fails, and link to the old post where it worked ok. Craig

wattflyer2subscriber - I see quite a few images that are hotlinked and that may be the issue you are experiencing. Hotlinking (which is linking to an image or other media file that is hosted on another website) is considered unprofessional and unethical as it uses unauthorized resources from that website. Same idea as if a neighbor uses your wi-fi without your permission. Some sites may even have code in place that break the link if hotlinking is detected. Also the type of link one lifts from another website may not always work with our embed link feature. Uploading an image directly (via the built-in Attachment feature) or using an image hosting site, is the best solution. Our Help Guide article on External Resources offers a list of free image hosting sites. If you are having an issue with the attachment feature or adding a link from an image host, please let us know so we can look into the issue.
