Forum URL: (private) I can't access Proboards using my VPN. That means I won't be accessing Proboards. Makes it hard to run a forum. Why would block my VPN?

fedup - we do not block VPNs. We will however block an IP address if it is being used maliciously against our service. Are you receiving an IP ban error message or some other error message?

No messages, it's just that no Proboards site will even load if I'm using my VPN. When I don't use it I have no issues, no IP bans.

fedup - not sure what to tell you since I don't know the VPN service you are using or what settings you have in place. And/or if you are using any ad-blocking software/extensions/etc. Any one (or combination) of these could cause the issue you are having. A lot of users use VPNs successfully. I often will use Opera's built-in VPN for testing, etc. I would recommend some troubleshooting. Try disabling browser extensions and see if the VPN works or not. That would rule out anything browser related. Look at the VPN settings. Are there extra security options enabled or any other options? Try seeing if disabling any of those solves the issue.

It was working fine until quite recently and nothing has changed on my end. The rest of the Internet works just fine, too. My forum has been running for twenty years with barely an issue. Perhaps it's time to shut it down.

fedup - did your VPN software have an update recently? I know we haven't coded anything new for a couple years. However if you let me know the VPN service you are using (and any other particulars), I can check with our systems team to see if they can offer any insight.
