Possible Reindex for search issue and question please

Hi, my forum's moderators and I are unfamiliar with ProBoards. Our forum members have all had issues of searches not properly showing up. Very frequently we would search for a term and no results would show, but if you manually searched they were there. I am positive that this is not an issue of typos as I would copy the term from the post and paste it into the search bar, but there would still be no results. I've seen previous threads requesting a reindex for similar issues and was hoping that it could fix this. 

One of my moderators was also wondering if it was somehow possible to change the order of posts to descending date instead of ascending (newest posts would show first).

A support admin will address the Reindex when the office opens.
Office hours are:
Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Pacific time (-8GMT)
The post order is something not possible. However, if you click on the 'new' icon next to the topic name, it will load the topic to the first new post made since you last accessed the topic, or if you click on the last post information cell it will take you to the latest post.
