So I have a good friend that I validated her as a member, but she is being asked to enter an activation key to continue her process of logging onto my board?!
I don't understand this.
Can anyone explain this to me?

Unfortunately, the activation is a necessary process required to ensure it is a valid email address, and it is the email holder that is registering the account. Most if not all sites on the internet now employ this process.
Once they’ve activated their account,they’ll now have a global account and they won’t need to do redo the activation process for any subsequent account registration.

Hi Dianne

Just to add to what sossity kindly posted, your friend should of been sent an email which contains an activation link. If it is not in their inbox, have them check their spam/junk folder.

Thanks to both of you! Yes, she got the proper email just was a little skeptical and I told her, more less what has been said here, but she's not used to the boards, just FB, and wanted to make sure.
