I have my forum set up so users need authorisation from myself to access the forum however a lot of these people have registered but I have not received any notification to allow them access.
I have tried manually doing it myself with their emails however it states they already have an account on my forum which they don't as I can see the member list and have not had any notifications about allowing them access.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am using Restricted Registration and it has worked with multiple people however some have registered but are not appearing and no notification is being sent to me to accept them. This is the forum link

If a pending registration is approved, the new member can only log in to their forum account and participate IF they have completed the activation. If they have not, they will be prompted to activate their Global Account when attempting to log in to the forum. Sounds like that’s what’s happening. However, another helper may be able to offer other explanations. Failing that, an admin will check your settings.

The problem is I can't approve the registration as I am not getting notified of any pending registrations and nothing is showing up in pending registrations either despite multiple people attempting to register and getting the wait for approval message

Try this checklist:
Whenever someone registers on your forum, in the Admin panel you will see a notice that there is a pending registration. Clicking that link (or going to Admin > Members > Pending Registrations) you will see that pending member's username, email address, and IP address.
You can also receive a forum and/or email notification of pending members depending on how you have your notifications configured.

Just to confirm, are you logged in to the main admin account ( username: admin ) when looking for the pending registrations?

Additionally, what do you see if you click this link? wrdc.boards.net/admin/members/pendingAlso, if they try to login to your forum, what message do they see, and do they see the account listed on the dashboard on the main ProBoards homepage, ProBoards.com

matthewwhiteley - looking at your notifications settings, I see you have them enabled for on-forum notifications, but have nothing enabled for receiving email notifications. Go to Profile > Edit Profile, Notifications tab. In the 3rd column (Email), use the dropdown selector to choose the frequency of email notification you want for each notification type. Currently they are all set to never.
