You'd have to check with the ToS of the service that's allowing you to create the AI content. Most of the free ones don't allow commercial use. Most do allow personal use. Regarding sharing and embedding, many probably will not want you to hotlink to any video or audio. You'll have to host these yourself. Regarding whether or not a free host allows AI content, that's up to them. A lot of AI songs exist on YouTube, but a lot are also getting deleted every day. There are too many subjective aspects to your question.
If you use Suno to generate a song about your pet, upload it to YouTube, and embed it onto your forum, that type of thing is PROBABLY fine. Note that I am not a legal expert and you'd have to check the ToS of each service you use as well.
The lyrics of your songs can also affect whether or not they are appropriate for ProBoards.

ironflame - our TOS is concerned with copyright material - and hotlinked content. Realistically it's what bigballofyarn stated above. It boils down to the site(s) you use and their terms of use regarding what you create; and how you link/host the content.

Just to add in some additional context:
I would check the TOS of the platform you're generating your music from (or articles or anything else AI generated) and see what their stance is on publicly sharing content produced on their platform (as Bigballofyarn mentioned above). Generally speaking AI is in somewhat of a grey area at the moment as some of the models are trained on copyrighted content that they may or may not own. There are a number of upcoming and pending lawsuits regarding this matter (see Getty Images v. Stability AI, NYT v. Microsoft, etc.). With that said, some models that did scrape copyrighted content may find themselves asking users to pull down or delete content generated by their AI models. I would approach sharing this content with caution as you may be required to remove that content later, even if the current TOS on the platform allows for sharing.

disclaimer: i am not a pb employee + i am not a lawyer / this is not legal advice. -- from a practical, personal perspective, please also be aware that genAI art has been ruled ineligible for copyright protections in the US. if you post genAI music, there is also a risk that any copyright claims you make if someone reposts it or uses it without your consent (on PB or otherwise) may not be honoured.

I know you didn't tag me, but assuming what you said is correct, it still depends on where you host the songs and the content of the songs.
If you generate a song that glorifies or promotes anything against the ProBoards ToS or the ToS of the site hosting the song for you, that would NOT be allowed.
However, an admin will get back to you during office hours. Best of luck.

My understanding is that the question is regarding whether or not PB's copyright clauses in the PB TOS permits or prohibits allowing genAI content to be posted on a PB forum as a whole and many content sharing platforms are straight up disallowing any and all genAI works to be posted. PB's TOS was written prior to the wide spread use of genAI and has no direct reference to permissions regarding its use. Michael can correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like the more direct answer based on his response is: there's nothing inherently wrong with posting genAI works on a PB forum (provided that the media itself doesn't violate any content restrictions in the TOS), just understand that you may be asked to remove that content later should any issues with copyright come up on the part of the genAI platform, either by PB or by the genAI platform itself. If this interpretation is correct, I would then also add that if the entire purpose of your forum is to share genAI work, you're running a huge risk. If the genAI you use run into any copyright issues naming them as violating copyright, then your forum's entire purpose would go against the PB TOS. EDIT: Suno.ai has been named in a copyright lawsuit and has admitted their AI is trained on ANY song available on the internet, which does in fact include copyrighted works. I would err on the side of caution and avoid posting anything from this model, at least until a ruling has been made on the case. www.riaa.com/record-companies-bring-landmark-cases-for-responsible-ai-againstsuno-and-udio-in-boston-and-new-york-federal-courts-respectively/music.mxdwn.com/2024/08/01/news/ai-songwriting-platform-suno-admits-training-models-from-open-internet-data-featuring-copyrighted-material/
