About five days ago, one of our staff members started to experience pop-up ads on Heretix Forum. So far, she's the only one - a couple have responded negatively to my question if others have been affected, while nobody else has complained or commented on the issue.
A brief summary: She uses Chrome and Heretix is the only proBoards forum or other site she has this problem with.
Here are her own words: "No, haven't cleared my cookies or used an ad blocker. Like I said, I never felt the need to because it never happens anywhere else. Actually, it doesn't happen when I log on, I'm usually on the site for a few minutes or so before it starts showing up and it happens any time I switch between pages, it doesn't seem to be linked to any particular page. It always starts with a small square pop up that comes up from the lower right hand corner. There's an "x" to dismiss it, which I usually click on and sometimes it then morphs to a large banner ad across the entire bottom of the page, again with an "x" to dismiss it, which I click on and it goes away but it never stays away for long, always comes back up again a short time later. And yes, it's always the same message...an ad for Celebrity Cruises."
Hopefully, somebody is able to help us get rid of this irritation. Even if it's only one affected member, it's not what we want people to experience when they visit us.
