Hi, I am new to ProBoards and was experimenting with an account I created. I wanted to change the name of the forum I created but couldn't figure out how to do so. So, I had this bright idea that if I deleted my account, the forum would be deleted too and I could try creating the same one again with the name slightly altered. Welp, that didn't work. Not only does the old forum still exist with the same name, but now I can't access it as Admin to make any changes.
Is it possible to just have my admin access restored to the forum? I can live without the name alteration, I just want my access back. Any help with this would be much obliged! Thanks!

Hi We may need to clarify what you have done, as it is not possible to delete the main admin account. Could i ask you to provide a link to the forum is question, and also, if you head to the main proboards website and login, does it list that forum there? www.proboards.comCraig

Hi! Here is the link thelastoffirst.freeforums.net/Also, no. When I log in to the main proboard website with the email I used as admin, it no longer shows the forum. In fact, I had to re-create the account with the same email address I used for the admin account, because it wouldn't recognize my email address before that.

ahava - You should now be able to access the forum with the username admin and the same password you use for your account here. What did you want to change the name of your forum to?

cottThanks for the help! I was trying to change the format of the title on the forum banner. Right now, it looks like this: "Thelastoffirst". I wanted to space out the words so that it looks like this: " The Last of First".

ahava - Go to Admin > Settings > Forum Settings. The first option is for Forum Title. You can make the modifications there.

cottIt was so simple it's laughable! Thanks again for your help! One more question: I want to make this forum for a specific friend group. I would like to make the forum inaccessible for anyone outside of this friend group, so that if a random stranger came across our forum they would not have immediate access to it. Is there a way to do this? I realize that once someone makes an account with our forum, they are immediately granted access to everything. I was hoping that there is a way in which a person could make an account, but the Admin would have to approve them before they have access to the entire forum. Think of the way that a private social media account has to approve a "friend request" before that individual is able to access and see the rest of that account - this is the goal I'm trying to achieve. Is that possible?
