Ad free packages

I do not want to do a recurring charge. Is there a way to do something like buy one million views on one charge and then let a forum use them for months until it ends but not have the million expire at the end of month one?

Friendly - basically yes.

Regardless of the quantity purchased, single use ad-free pageviews will be listed in the admin panel in lots of 50,000. For example, if you purchase 1,000,000 ad-free pageviews, there will be 20 entries of 50,000. Each lot of 50,000 can be scheduled to be used in a different month or all to be used in the same month (or multiple lots in a month depending on the need). Just make sure when you purchase, under the 'When to Apply' you select the option for Don't apply. Let the staff decide.

Note: When a package of 50,000 is scheduled, it's only good for the calendar month it's scheduled. Unused pageviews do not carry over. So if the admin schedules 1 lot of 50,000 for October and they only use 30,000, the remaining 20,000 of that package expire at the end of October and do not carry over to November.

If the forum already has as free and they hid the link at the bottom to make them ad free, how do I buy them another package?

Friendly - You can use the following URL:

https://www.proboards.com/store/add_cart/ad_free/50000/FORUM_URL/YOUR_USER_ID

You would need to replace the section FORUM_URL with the URL of the forum (do not include https, just abc.proboards.com or whatever the URL is.)

And replace YOUR_USER_ID with your member ID on the forum. (You can get this number by viewing your profile and looking in the browser's address bar.)


Just an FYI, since you are planning a large purchase I would recommend coordinating with the admin. They can also enable that link for you to use, even if temporarily.
