How do you deal with not being able to upload an image because of lack of space? Do you delete old threads? Is there something to clear? It’s been active since 2006

How do you deal with not being able to upload an image because of lack of space? Do you delete old threads? Is there something to clear? It’s been active since 2006 Hello Aside from deleting attachments to free up space, There are these options: 1. You can a increase the attachment storage space with a monthly subscription. 2. You (and the members) can use an image hosting service and post links from there that will embed the images and display in posts. This option does not affect the attachment storage and so there's no limit to worry about. This Help Guide article External Resources has a list of forum-friendly image hosting services. 3. The other thing you can do is ask members to run their images through an image compressor before adding as an attachment. Our External Resources article (link above) also lists compression sites. It's a simple drag and drop process that can reduce the file size with no discernable reduction in quality. you would use this in conjunction with the attachment system to increase the number of files able to be attached - whether you keep the default plan or decide to upgrade.

How do you deal with not being able to upload an image because of lack of space? Do you delete old threads? Is there something to clear? It’s been active since 2006 In general posts and threads themselves do not affect attachment storage. So randomly deleting threads will not free up attachment space. Posts and Attachment Deletions:- Deleting an attachment from the Manage Attachments section of the admin panel will remove it from both the post and your forum's storage.
- Deleting a post with an attachment will delete the item from your forum's storage and Manage Attachments section of the admin panel.
- Deleting an attachment from a post or from the Manage Attachments section of the admin panel will not delete the post.
The options are as 🎶Sossity🎶 outlined above. You would need to reach out to the forum admin (owner) as they manage the attachment feature. However as pointed out, in the meantime you can use an image hosting service to add images to posts.
