Forum URL: ombdinotopia.proboards.com A post I'm writing may appear as shown below: Yet upon posting, three line breaks appear everywhere I had just one: When I edit to remove the extra blank lines, they don't return. This is a minor inconvenience since it's easy enough to edit them out. Mostly, I'm wondering why this happens and how to prevent or work around it.

Use Shift-Enter instead of Enter in WORD.

bricabrach - Are you writing the post directly on the forum, or in another program first and then copying it over? Also are you switching between Preview/BBCode tabs while composing the post?

Hi Scott,
In this case I pasted the text from Notepad, entirely in Preview mode. I typically work this way when posting whole chapters of fan fiction, for example.

bricabrach - Some programs will have hidden characters - like line breaks - that copy over with the text, though I don't recall seeing that happening with Notepad. Next time try pasting over into the BBCode tab and see what happens.

Scott,
Pasting directly into the BBCode tab avoids the extra blank lines. Thanks for the tip!
