Theme Images Are Disappearing

I'm trying to add new images to my default theme. I haven't reached the 500 maximum yet. They seemed to upload successfully. When I navigated back to the images section of that theme, the images were gone. If I try to reupload them with the same names I gave them before, I receive an error saying, "Name must be unique within this category."

Just out of interest have you tried clearing just your cache and then doing a hard refresh, (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd F5)??

If it's your browser misbehaving, then they should show up, otherwise I will leave it for someone else to look into things.

The browser I use for ProBoards is for ProBoards only. I did clear temp data and try a hard refresh. The theme thinks the images are there based on the error, but I can't see them with my eyes.

What is one of the images you are trying to upload? Would you be ok to attach it here so I can see (and try). What section of the theme images are you uploading to?

So, they are still uploaded as I've added them to the smiley plugin my boyfriend and I created. They appear in the plugin, but not in the theme.
I uploaded them to Admin > Themes > Theme Manager > Blue Default > Images > Custom Theme Images

OwenGiggle appears twice in theme's Custom Theme images.

OwenShake appears three times.

and OwenSmack/OwenStomp also appears 3 times.


Looks like the images are being added, just not at the bottom of the list.

This is what I see at the bottom of my list, and the newest additions aren't there. How weird.

bigballofyarn - sorry I wasn't more clear. They are in the list, just not at the bottom. Scroll up through the custom images and you will see them.

Alright. Interesting. We've found them. Is there any reason they are appearing in the middle of the images rather than at the bottom like usual? I added them to the bottom. I didn't replace images in the earlier spots.

bigballofyarn - I have no clue. I noticed this happened to me on a theme I was working on and thought it strange, but was only working with 5 images so didn't give it much thought until your thread today. I'll make a note to asked systems when they are back in the office.
