Any way to bring this back? Set up a new forum owner? There was a lot of valuable information in this forum.

It looks like your forum is online, but in maintenance mode. Did the Abuse Department handle this for you, or were you looking to reopen someone else's forum?

Haven’t heard back from “abuse,” I am curious what it would take to reopen the forum?

grunchy - Apologies I didn't look at this closer when I posted over the weekend. According to the forum logs, the forum admin put the forum in Maintenance Mode on September 18th.

Hi, thanks for the info about the LTD454 forum being put in maintenance mode Sept 18, 2024. I'm not sure what that implies, perhaps that the forum is being shut down by the original operator. Is there any way to contact that person to inquire about transferring or renewing it?

Hi, thanks for the info about the LTD454 forum being put in maintenance mode Sept 18, 2024. I'm not sure what that implies, perhaps that the forum is being shut down by the original operator. Is there any way to contact that person to inquire about transferring or renewing it? Maintenance Mode (hereafter referred to as MM) has a multitude of uses, such as (but not limited to): 1. Forum reorganization. This keeps regular users out while the forum is being reorganized (only Staff can log into a forum while it's in MM). 2. Real Life (RL) issues. Sometimes RL can make it so a forum owner cant be around due to things happening in RL. As such, they may opt to put a forum into MM yo keep possible spammers out and/or to make sure any Staff they have don't have to deal with possible issues arising in their absence. 3. Taking a break. Perhaps they've put a lot of time and effort into the forum and actually need a break (maybe to prevent burnout?). MM makes sure that the forum will be in the same condition it was when it was put into MM (unless their is a rogue Staff member who does some damage in the interim). MM has other uses as well. Yes, it can also be a precursor to the owner deciding to delete the forum. Perhaps they are using this time to make a decision on the future of the forum rather than just making a rash, on-the-spot decision. If the owner has removed (even temporarily) all Staff members (or made all member groups non-Staff), then the owner will be the only one who would be able to log into the forum while in MM. As far as contacting the forum owner, unless you've got an email, or they've provided a publicly-viewable email (or other means, such as X; Facebook, etc.) there's nothing anyone can do for you here. PB Staff won't contact a forum owner on your behalf. You'll need to find your own method of contacting them (if one exists).
