Forum URL: hcc83-owners.freeforums.net/There seems to be a limitation of 3 attachments for posts in ProBoards. Is there any way of getting the maximum increased to 6? Mike

mikesmith123 - Unfortunately not with the default storage limit. If the forum decides to increase the attachment storage limit with a monthly subscription, then the amount of attachments per post increases based on the subscription plan. For images, there is the option to use an image hosting service and post a link to the image in a post. This will embed the image and display. Adding images to posts this way has no limit to the number of images added. (Our Help Guide article on External Resources lists some forum-friendly Image Hosting services.)

Scott:
I think we would prefer to increase our monthly subscription to get more attachments. Where would I go to find out more about this?

Hi mike In your forum's administration area, and then Upgrades > File Storage > Attachments > Increase Storage. You will find the subscription options to increase the attachment storage there Craig

When I click on Admin > Upgrades I get a screen with an Icon with a Footer "Manage Your Existing Subscriptions".
We don't have any.
Anyway, the following screens give me no place to enter "File Storage".

Mike are you the forum creator or serving as an administrator on the forum?
The administrator group by default does not have access to the storage area of the admin panel. This permission would need to be enabled by the forum creator. If you are the creator, make sure you are logged in to the main admin account (the account with the username admin).

Dante: Could you give the steps for the Forum Creator to give me (Administrator) the power to add storage. Mike

mikesmith123 - 1. They would need to go to: Admin > Members > Member Groups 2. At the far right of the group item "Administrator" click on the Edit button. 3. Scroll down to the Admin Area section, find Manage Attachments and change the dropdown to Yes. 4. Then continue down to the Critical Powers section, find File Storage and change the dropdown to Yes. 5. Click the Save Changes button. Note: This will affect all members in the Administrator member group. If you're the only one, then no problem.
