Board URL: yellowroseavs.proboards106.com/index.cgi?Problem:I am having the same problems others are having...logging on to my board and when I try to go into a thread it redirects me back to my main page. I have not changed anything, I have always had AVG, I have not changed codes...headers or otherwise!! So that is NOT the problem. We need someone with some knowlege responding to our inquires...not just grabbing suggestions from up in the air somewhere. My problem started about 7 pm (CST) and it is 9:25 pm right now. Other members are able to log in and post....so it can not be a system wide problem. Would like to hear from someone who knows or can actually figure out what is wrong.

Craig was made aware of problems like this earlier, so your patience is appreciated as they figure out what is going on.

this just worked for me as well thanks
[glow=red,2,300]never mind, thanks for help, it stops redirecting if you have this proboard in your favs, delete it from ur favs then type it in the url bar up top , then add it again, it works perfectly !
a tip to all! [/glow]

Well finally a suggestion that actually worked....*grins* I did what you said...copied and pasted the url instead of going through my favorites and walla....I was in and working.
Has to be something in the software that has gone wrong...cause I have never had that problem before.
Thanks for the suggestion that provided a fix.

Has to be something in the software that has gone wrong...cause I have never had that problem before. Thanks for the suggestion that provided a fix. Nothing in the software changed from when you didn't ave the issue, to when you has the issue, so for something to go wrong in the software is not viable. In addition, this problem only happens to people who use Internet Explorer, and doesn't affect any other browser, and even more strangely, it doesn't affect all people using IE. For weeks we have been trying to figure out why this is the case. Sounds like someone has hit on a favourites problem - which is interesting. Did this problem start for you guys immediately after you added the site to your favourites?

okay, I am in two different proboard groups at present. I'm the admin in one and a global mod in the other. and was involved in two other boards that I left.
the one that I am admin of, we keep ad free. we have never had a problem on that board. not one single solitary person has ever had an issue.
The other groups were NOT ad free.
several people have complained about this problem and ALL are using vista and IE plus the ADS.
so you have three common denominators here that have factored into the issue that MY group of people are having.
VISTA IE ADS
so going BACK to the drawing board has still shown me that vista is part of the problem.
one more thing..........NONE of these people including myself have ever had this proboard in our favorites. I came here looking for a solution to this problem just yesterday.
photobucket has these same ad campaigns and they ended up with a really nice virus from it. the one that pops up and tells you that your computer has been infected and you need to download the fix? your present antivirus cant get rid of it? the only sullution is to down load this fix? have you heard of it? its a nasty little critter. a friend and neighbor of mine fell for it. $600 later and the problem was fixed.

I emailed the members with issues and had them try deleting the forum from their favorites as suggested above.
it has worked thus far.
thank you.
with that said, there must be something connected to the URL in the favorites that makes this happen. so, could it be that its connected to the ads at the top? or is that a non feasible theory?

The member on my board who is having this same problem doesn't use Vista. She has XP. She does use IE, so I'm thinking there is something going on with the settings folks are using on their IE browser.

Same problem here. Clearing cache does no good. Typing in forum address directly without using the link in favorites does no good. No Vista here either. No settings in IE have been changed. indylounge.proboards105.com/index.cgiKen

Craig, you once answered this for me when I had asked about it. You told me to take out the /index.cgi from the URL and type the URL direct. So instead of graphickingdom.proboards92.com/index.cgi you would put graphickingdom.proboards92.com only. That seemed to solve the problem. Many of the proboard boards were saved in my favorites having that suffix attatched. But once removed there have been no problems. I use IE, Windows XP and the URL's have been in my favorites the same way for over 2 years and just recently it has become a problem. But without the suffix at the end, everything has been working fine for me.

Glad to see I am not the only one having this issue too I am a member of 3 different proboards including this one . I was having this problem with only one of the 3 boards initially some time ago. I didn't get to concerned as the prob would go away. However, yesterday the board that I normally experienced this issue with was operating fine but the other 2 were not, including the Proboards support board. It gets to be a concern when you cannot view the support board too .. lol Hope it can all be sorted out in the usual Proboards amazing support fashion No vista here and I do have the 3 boards as "favs" but won't mess with that untill it is clear that it is the prob. To answer your question on the timing of adding them as "favs" Craig. All 3 have been been my fav's for over a year and this issue first reared its head in the last couple of months or so.
