Dominant win for Scotland last night, with our boy Ritchie getting a couple of assists to his name! Never seen the match live D but I checked the score and it as 1-1 and I thought "Here we go", thankfully Scotland came good after that so there is hope yet.

Looks like it got a bit tetchy with a couple of sendings off for the opposition. Might have helped them along a bit

The Manchester derby and then we're playing Derby in the teatime fixture. What a way to welcome the footy back after two weeks!

Shame it clashes with the Manchester derby otherwise I'd tune in. Is it on the normal tele there or just Sky Sports?

Both on Sky Sports 1&2, which I can't get plus the Manchester Derby is on MUTV also which I can't get. Not bothered really as it always would work out if BTSport was showing a live match with either United or Rangers being shown, ten to a penny we would either be babysitting our grandsons or have family visiting and I would have to record the matches. As my saying is "Family first, football or sports second."

Eastenders, Big Brother and the Jeremy Kyle shows are my big hates and I cannot stand them. If I see Liz watching shows like that I just leave her to it and go into the back room and go on her laptop with no tv the back room.
I am on my old laptop in the lounge and watching Australian Rules Football, the 1st elimination final Adelaide Crows v Nth Melbourne 'Kangaroos'. The first qtr has just finished and the Crows are leading 4-6-24 v 2-4-16 Kangaroos.

Manchester Derby has been great. Game of the season so far from a neautral's point of view! Bet Joe Hart sitting watching in Torino had a smile on his face at some points during Barvo's flourishes. He could have quite easily lost the match for City, who were absolutely comprehensively dominant. Absolute masterclass from De Bruyne and Fernandino. Great game Looks like the Old Firm game would have been worth a watch. What happened to Rangers?

Not based on that performance anyways. The sky guys mentioned first game nerves, but this guy is 33 and played in chile, and in la liga, for barcelona. Nerves, really? It's not the biggest game he has ever played in. If i were Joe Hart, i would be wondering what have i been replaced with. But with that said, Joe Hart is not a great keeper. He's been pretty poor, in my opinion, for a while. People point to Euro 2016, but it goes far before that. Take a look at the match reports from the start of last season, for example, and then the season before that. Mistake by Hart was a common occurrence. So. Yeah. I don't think he can legitimately feel that hard done by. Not too surprised by Rangers, to be honest. Yeah, they won the league last season, but whenever i saw them, they struggled to beat their opposition. So the step up to the premiership, and especially against Celtic, was going to show them up a little.

So the step up to the premiership, and especially against Celtic, was going to show them up a little. Bravo reminded me of how I used to be as a keeper in the school team: needless risk taker, trying to skin players, drawing them in for fouls, not concentrating as much as I should be. Quite ironic that one of the best balls of the game came from De Gea. If I was Joe Hart I would be feeling even madder than I was. That being said I wont judge Bravo on one match, but personally I would have thought the best possible game a keeper could have in his opening game for a big new club in a big new league is one where he's invisible. Seemed like the opposite today - every possible chance he had to do something wrong he did it or almost did it.

I will have to watch some replays of the match but not really bothered as there is a long way to go yet in the EPL until May next year but Hughes job is not looking good at Stoke so far this season and after getting thumped by Spurs I think he might be wobbling a bit now. As for Rangers, the same thing is going to happen to them this season in the EPL which happens to Hearts last season when they run away the Championship the season before that and returned to the EPL last season and were just mediocre. Rangers will find the EPL a lot tougher than the Championship and Rangers are not the Rangers of old times gone by and it will take them a couple of more years yet until they are up and running again like they were in days gone by.

Good win for us today (beat Derby 2-0 away). What's been really reassuring in the past few games, especially against strong opposition like Brighton and Derby, is that we can protect a lead and manage the game, keeping it balanced without ending up parking the bus and still looking potent. It's also great to see how well Gouffran's been doing (scored the winner today, was lightening in the last game too). He was often maligned in the Premier League because he's definitely not PL quality, but he's been really great in the Championship - perhaps he's finally found his level in English football. Which is just as well really given that lack of depth on the wings could present a problem this season. Didn't get to see Atsu play but Yedlin grabbed a really well-worked goal in second half stoppage time. Four clean sheets in a row too for Selz who has looked shakey at times. All this is really promising. Hopefully we keep it up for the Villa away game in a couple of weeks and everything in between. Forgot what it feels like to win five games in a row. As an interesting aside, our ref for this game got injured during warm up so the fourth official ended up reffing the match. Then to compoud the problems for the officials the subs/stoppage time board wasn't charged so they apparently had to rush one up in a taxi to replace it. Then at some point during the match the original ref (who was acting as fourth official after his injury) disappeared and the fourth official who'd just done the Mansfield game took over from him. Was a funny one. ed: also just realised Adam Armstrong who we've got on loan to Barnsley came off the bench to score the match winning goal for them on his debut!
