Thanks for finding that code for me, Candy. Unfortunately, it only removes the category bar for the top board, not the other 4 that I have. I tried putting the code in different locations in the footer, but it was still the same. Only the first category bar was removed, the others are still there.

If possible, I would like to remove the bar with the category name in it above each board on the main page. I know there is a "hide" option, but that hides all the boards within the category. I don't want to hide the boards, just the category name bar. Hope this makes sense! Edit: Just wanted to add that my reason for wanting to delete the category bar is because I only have one board in each category. The name of each board is the same as the category it is in, so there is no reason have the name listed twice. Thanks!

I thought I had the latest version, but just to make sure, I went ahead and reinstalled Firefox. The version I was using must have gotten corrupted somehow, because after I reinstalled it, the problem went away! The text is fine now..thanks for your help, Craig!

You can get step-by-step instructions on how to set up your forum by going to the Help section in the menu bar. Also, it's advised that you thoroughly checkout all the menu options, especially the Admin section, before you start opening up your forum to posters, or try to start adding new codes. As for the username, I'm not sure how long it can be, but I'm assuming it can have quite a few letters in it, because I've never heard of anyone complaining it was too short. Abbreviations or first letters are fine, just as long as you don't add any characters to your name. Good luck with your new forum, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask them here on the Support Board.

Yes, sorry to say it is. If the administrator who created the forum deleted it, there's nothing that can be done to restore it.

Please do not double or triple post. If you need to add more comments, just edit the last post you made. Your request for help will be dealt with in a timely manner. Please be patient and allow the administrators some time to explore your problem, thanks!

Yes, they are all like that. I use FF I think the latest version.
ETA: Just out of curiosity, I tried logging on my site on IE..and text in the drop down boxes is fine there. Then I went back to FF, and yep..the faded grey text is still there. So it appears to be something with Firefox.

No..the problem is still there. Here's an example of what I see when I try to open a drop-down menu. This particular one is the Modify Board menu box.

Have you checked your security log? It's possible that someone gained access to the main admin account and deleted everything on the board. If you are the main administrator you can check your Security log by going to: Admin>Member Groups>View Security Log If this is the case, please reply here and then wait for Craig to give you further instructions.

Thanks for showing me that Richie. I had added some new title gradients today and must've messed up with my pasting. However, the problem with the faded text still remains, since it started several days ago!

Board URL: www.terristorms.proboards.com/index.cgiHi! I had a minor, yet very strange thing happen on my board recently. All the text in the drop-down boxes has turned a very light gray making it very difficult to read unless you highlight it. This is happening not only in menu options but also in the "reply to post" box. But all the text in the boxes that aren't drop-down boxes is fine! The problem appeared to start after I added some new code, so I removed it, yet the problem with the text in the drop-down boxes still remains. I have opened my board to guests so you can take a look. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I think Craig was looking for more information, such as: Where specifically do you want the Christmas message to show? Do you want it printed on each of your random banners? Do you want the text to show all the time above or underneath the banners? Or do you want a separate banner with the Christmas message on it to be added to your random banner code? Each one of these options are done quite differently, so we really need to know specifically where you want the greeting so we can give you accurate instructions.

Sorry..I guess I'm not explaining myself very well. By "spaces" I mean the white area beneath your text. It's possible that you might have an extra blank line under your text. I checked on my own board, and if I hit the enter key under my text, it will create a blank line or space. So to get rid of the space, all I had to do was put my cursor after the last word in my text and hit the delete key. That removed the extra blank line or "white space" that I had put there.
