Gradualism is the idea that evolution occured evenly throuought time, as opposed to it occuring in large sections. It is not directly related to natural selection. No Thats Adaptation... There is a difference between adaptation, and evolution.Evolution would be like man from monkey , does not happen.Bacteria being a strain... adaptating to factors around it into a mutated strain... with some new characteristics.Thats adaptation.Not evolution |

When the two organisms' DNA are different enough, they are two different species. Different strains of bacteria are the definition of evolution in bacteria, as they are single celled prokaryotes, they can only be differentiated by their behavior, which is governed by the DNA. |

No that is adaptation ... is it still not bacteria .Yes it still is Bacteria .Evolution means to evolve from one thing like a cat ... to a dog... will not happen... or a man from a monkey ... that will not happen either .So i do not believe, and never will believe in evolution,but i do believe in adaptation.Adaptation is to stay the same thing, but to adapt to your enviroment.You might lose an part you dont need anymore, or something adapt to more, or less hostile enviroments, but you will not evolve.

I beg to differ i do not have my definition confused.Take for instance.. say the Sabretooth tiger, if it exsisted .It would still be a tiger.Still be a cat ... but it shed off things it did not need, to be the tiger we have now .Thats is adaptation.This can be proven.Evolution can never be proven .Evolution is a theory .Where as Adaptation is not .
