Other than having to add/remove the updates every day, does anyone have a solution how to permanently fix this issue? I'm completely unsure what else to do and that method is a right pain! It's definitely to do with the windows update and only seems to affect my own forum. Everywhere else I go is fine? I'm puzzled by it.

Thanks.
I have clean up some of the codes on your forum. Are you still having the problem?

Thanks! Still not working and now without the updates. I'll restart the computer and with the updates installed and let you know.

I've restarted up with the updates in place. It's half working, it let me reply to a PM. But still going off!

This is what happens every time I try to post/modify post, send a PM etc etc.... It does say google ads at the bottom (highlighted) just before it closes off. Then it says it's recovered the tab then goes off again and repeats this. Like I said though only when the new windows updates were automatically installed did the problems start occuring.

If you click your start button then run and type iexplore -extoff to start Internet Explorer with all extensions disabled, do you still get the error when posting?

Well I just did a quick audit of the codes in your footer and the error seems to disappear if California's more smileys code is removed. The error doesn't actually occur in the code but in the Google ad script that adds text ads at the bottom of the page while it is executing. Since the browser crashes it's very difficult to pinpoint the actual cause. The error however seems to be tied to the presence of the smiley code at least in my test.
I'll need to look further into this when I get more time...

Thanks appreciated. When I've managed to get on, most members aside from only one other haven't experienced any problems.
The smileys? Gah! It took me bloomin' ages to add them all up, grown quite attached to 'em. Would hate to have to lose them all.

How about an alternative smilies code? I have one if you are interested?

Thanks will have a go with that when I get chance. I don't know but I'm still unsure if it is that. Whatever it is is connected to the latest update, I did another system restore taking the updates out and all is absolutely fine!
Any techie people out there please tell me how you can cancel/stop an update from occuring? I ignore the prompts but eventually it finds itself updated and I have to do another system restore. I feel doing this every couple of days is not healthy. It's really getting on my nerves now not being able to use my own forum!
