Simple, you came out first to say Patrick claimed to be the detective. We should lynch him. But if he's not mafia, we lynch you. I think . I must admit the role pm comment makes you seem innocent, so perhaps we can skip that role.

Adam wakes up to the blinding sunlight shining through his shutters and crawls out of bed wearily.

What is happening to me? This is definitely not right. This is not my bed. This is not my house. I pass out on the street during a celebration and I wake up in a different city?! This is not my town!

Adam opens his front door and shields his eyes from the intense sun. He walks into the street, not noticing the morning paper. Villagers rush by him on their way to the town square.

"Hey Adam," one of them shouts, "There's going to be a lynching. Maybe even two. Come on!"

"Ugh!" Adam shivers as he recalls old nightmares, "why are these crazy people so fond of lynchings?"

Adam heads to the town square where two people are arguing publicly. Both Patrick and Phaelyn take turns accusing the other of being mafia.

Ryan runs up and pats Adam on the back.

"Great day for rynching.
Me rike kiru mafia.
It good day to die!"

"Huh... I can see your face in this reality. Is it just me or do you look a little more Japanese than usual?", Adam comments back.

Syko approaches Adam as well.
"Wohohohi Adam! It's me, Nachoman! Hows it goin pardaner?! HAHAHA!"

"Oh, it's going alright, I guess," replies Adam. He then thinks to himself, "Well at least he's crazy in every town I've been in..."

Syko jeers toward the two debaters and begins yelling. "At this point it's pretty certain that one of them is Mafia, so I say we just kill both. YAHOOOOOEEEEEY!!" And then he slaps himself on the knee.

At Syko's comment, Adam thinks to himself, "Wait, I wonder how crafty and clever the mafia are in this town..."

A lightbulb goes off in Adam's head and he shoves Syko and Ryan aside as he races down the street.

"Adam prease srow down.
Where you run so fast away-" Ryan is interrupted by Syko
"You're gonna miss the lynchings today!"

Ryan glares at Syko with a suicide bomber's grimace and forms a fist in the air.

"What?" Syko asks innocently, "I rhymed your little poem, didn't I?"

"Dat was not five syrabaruuuuuu!!!"

Adam turns around and yells back quickly, "Seeing Detective!"

Ryan turns toward Adam with a shimmer of hope and passion in his eyes. He tears up as if he were to cry over something so amazingly beautiful that he can't hold back.

"Oh sank you Adam,
dat is so much betteruuuu.
You save Syko's rife."

Syko ignores Ryan's ambiguous threat and yells to Adam, "Wait! Didn't ya hear? The detective's dead! That's what this whole ruckus is all about!"

Adam comes to a stomping halt, giving out a huge sigh. He slumps his head as he walks back with little energy.

"Seriously?"

"Well yeah," exclaims Syko, "didn't you read today's morning paper?"

"No, I must have forgotten. I only just got here last night, after all."

"Only last night? What do ya mean? I saw you two days ago. Did you go on some sorta crazy day trip somewhere?! WOOOHA!"

"Nevermind. I can tell already this is going to be a horrible experience." Adam says exasperated. "Hey, I just noticed, you aren't orange anymore."

"Orange? HA! Well heck, if I'm orange, then Ryan here is yellow!"

Ryan swivels his head and once again tries to kill Syko with his death-stare.

"Yup, horrible experience."

Let me put it this way. I don't want villagers committing suicide because they were wrong about who was mafia. It only hurts the village, as we are down one villager as a result. Instead, try and provide irrefutable evidence you are who you say you are. Phaelyn, you did that with the linked post, that almost certainly proves who you are, as no mafia member or special role could have known Aether would not send a pm to the villagers. Patrick on the other hand is trying to get us to lynch phaelyn. Patrick has not tried anything to prove his innocence beyond trying to get someone else killed first. SO what do we do here?

Apparently I should have sent a PM to everyone at the start of the game alerting them that the game has started and of what their role is. Since we're in Day 1 right now, all of the power roles (mafia,detective,doctor) know who they are. Everyone who didn't get a PM specifically identifying their role is a normal villager.

But yeah, the game has started, so off you go.

Oh, right, I forgot to address Patrick's post. Yeah, er, I never said I was the detective. Pretending to be another role is risky, at best, in the other games, and positively condemning in this one where there are so many roles. I've only pretended to be another role once, and that was the first game where bagheera and I had a really strong alliance. I only trust two people right now, and they're just villagers anyway.

Phaelyn admitted right (read the bold/underlined text) here that she has pretended to be different roles in the past. That's one strike.

I would like to point out that I was out at dinner when this entire thing started. Night time shifted to day time and Phaelyn immediately started posting how I needed to be killed hours before I got back on ProBoards. Why would Phaelyn be online right at the switch over and not me? Because she must have just sent in the mafia vote. Strike two.

If Phaelyn is lynched and is proven to not be mafia I will suicide myself tomorrow so the villagers do not lose out on a lynching.

I did not receive a PM until I received a PM from Aether titled "The Mafia Game Has Started."

Now I'm getting PM's from Phaelyn saying how she's going to get me killed. I wish I could take a screen shot but since that is against the rules I'm just going to quote it:

Patrick you bring up some good points but they cannot prove anything.

A, you have lied about your role before too, in fact many people have regardless of their true role. B, just because someone is online during the switch doesn't mean they are mafia and sent in the vote. The narrator still needs time to write up an article, and the doctor and detective still needed to submit their votes too. That sort of evidence doesn't work around here. C, suicide promises like that only hurt us, a real mafia member can use that to their advantage and when we lynch a mafia member and decide the source is innocent, that's one mafia member among our ranks who remains under the radar. D, just because you were not mafia in the last 4 games does not automatically prove you aren't mafia again. In fact, that makes me more concerned, you should have a mafia role any game now . And E, You didn't provide a link back on that final quote (Just a small thing there )

1) I lied about my role when Phaelyn was the detective - I think it was game 2? That was to protect Phaelyn from the mafia. We had worked together to attract attention to regular villagers so that they would be killed (take one for the team). That was me being a good villager.

2) That is true that other people do need to send their votes in, but if I was mafia I would want to be around for the switch so that I could pile the votes on just like Phaelyn did to me.

3) You must not have read my message. It was a PM Phaelyn sent me earlier today (5:30am my time). I can't screen shot it because that is against the rules so I quoted it.

I admitted to doing so in the first game. And I wasn't mafia, either. I'm three games wiser now, I'm not silly enough to do that. Too much work.

I was the first to post a number, it's pretty easy to fake one now.

And I REALLY, really really don't feel like getting into PMs anyway. They can be fabricated, screenshot'd, edited, fake-video'd, etc. The only way I could prove it's actually what you sent would be to give everyone my password, which, er, lolno. That's why my post on 404 is such good evidence: providing none of my mods mess with it, it's hard evidence that people can see for themselves.

Also, all I meant by the 2 games/whatever was that you just hadn't got a mafia role yet in those other ones. Wasn't trying to hold it over you or something I have NO idea how I've made it through 4 games without a mafia role, either
