It's possible that the newest version of GIMP requires too much RAM. Try seeing if there's an older version available.

It ALMOST worked I started it, and then it loaded up, but when it comes to loading up the fonts, it wasn't responding. What I did was delete some of the fonts that I didn't like and tried again. But it was the same thing.[/size]

Just to add, you are waiting long enough, aren't you? I have 3.0GB of ram and I have to wait a while for it to load. It says "not responding" for quite some time before it finally loads. Just thought I'd mention it.
