This morning, I decided to create those cool buttons for my brand new forum [HOORAY! XD], and I always use GIMP to create those buttons (Home, New Topics, etc.), but when I tried to open GIMP, it is not responding o__o. I have been using GIMP for a year or two now, and it always worked. But it did not work today. Anybody know what the problem is? I really need GIMP. The last time I used it was probably last January and it was still working properly. THANK YOU

Could you not re-downoad Gimp?

Have you tried resetting your computer? I do that whenever a program is acting up.

you say it's 'not responding' and 'it doesn't work' - what, exactly, happens when you attempt to load GIMP? does it freeze when loading? does the loading screen not show? your post is a little vague. :3

Dark Crow: Well, I did, but same results
Meadows Kami: When I attempt to load GIMP, it freezes when loading (and it says: NOT RESPONDING) , and sometimes when I try again, the loading screen doesn't show, and then it just says NOT RESPONDING.. =/

GIMP is a really RAM heavy program from what I can tell. :[ Do you have anything else running in the background?

How much RAM do you have available? According to the GIMP website you have to have at least 128MB of RAM. If you go to your control panel >> security, I think you can check how much RAM is available there.

Hold down the Windows key and press the Pause/Break key. It should tell you how much RAM you have.
