Night 26 Recap

Zombies came in waves the entire night. Only three or four at a time. But they would beat on the defenses until a survivor inside would take care of them. It seemed like every time they took out one zombie another would straggle in from the surrounding area. At one point Derek got so frustrated he decided to not kill the zombie that pounded on the other side of the security gate. He waited nearly an hour until a screw popped loose. As soon as he hit was was once a woman square in the face another zombie, a man, approached to take her place.

Zombies in the burnt out neighborhood had heard Peppers car and had followed the sound of it engine to the docks. Dozens of walkers appeared on the shore and moved to the survivors. If they had been in a house they would have been overrun but out on the end of the dock the zombies walked into the river like lemmings and were swept down stream. A couple hit the dock hard as they passed under it, one large zombie snapped a support beam and it's back at the same time. None reached the small group huddled together over the cold black waters.

That night Adam was cold from the chilly wind that ran over the fast moving water below the huddled group of four survivors. Experiencing extreme discomfort, he did not sleep. Even without the frigid air, the constant sound of rushing water and zombies doing cannon balls into the river would have kept him up.

Once light broke, the group started to warm up again and the undead lemmings ceased flinging themselves into their watery second graves.

Adam sat in the group with his back facing North, and as the sun rose it lit up the left side of his face. He stared past the car off into the distance. He looked very dissatisfied. He inhaled deeply and packed a few more items he had been carrying around into his backpack. Adam got up and walked toward the car.

It would probably be good for two of us to scout as two of us reinforced the bus' defenses; then all four of us can move to a new location together.

Are you pointing at the end of the wall? The one that sticks 20 feet out into the river? The one that has a super strong current passing through small water jet like holes in the wall and a huge crest of white water coming off at the end? The one there is no possible way you can swim around?

I want to get some more of the area uncovered... what do the people in my group think? Should we move to 2 and scout south? Search nearby? I dunno.

I'm good with moving if we all do, but I would like to search for the fuel pump (which may or may not be near the dock)

Yes. ;D That's the one! So, why can't I MacGyver the fuel pump from Pepper's car?

Wildmaven stared at the rushing water, but her thoughts were excited after seeing that the wall didn't traverse all the way across the river. "Fuel pump," she muttered. Axel yipped in agreement

Traditional game logic suggests the exit should be farthest away from the starting point, which is now undoubtedly Northwest, but now I'm just curious to see what point(s) of interest may be South of us. Leaving no stone unturned and all that jazz. So, I suppose I'll cast my vote for moving South.

Ryan Roos: What the hell is that little dashed line/trail running throughout the map? >.< I originally just assumed it was a set of train tracks (as that's a common railroad marker on real maps. It didn't dawn on me until last night that a railroad might lead out of the city, but that theory died when I followed the visible portions of the trail and saw that it looped all over the place and seems to pass through buildings. So, what exactly is it? 0.o Or do you even know? (I'm assuming the map was premade)
