ETC has successfully installed the fuel pump on the boat. She has no actions left.

Adam steps on to the boat and turns to the others.

"It looks like there is only room for 3, and only enough fuel in here for one trip. But maybe we can use my rope and some sort of drift wood to tow a 4th person behind us. What do you girls think?"

The drag caused by the current from the river for a drag tow scenario will have a 15% success rate that all four people will make it across the river.

[Pepper]

"It's better than nothing..." Pepper sighed, glancing longingly back towards her forsaken car. It had served her well. "Maybe there's a way we could use maven's robe to secure the sacrifice- I mean, person even more to the rope so they won't be swept away? But... NOT IT!" She touched her finger to her nose, adament that she wouldn't be the one stuck in the roaring waters. This way of deciding who would be unluckiest made sense to her.

[Adam]

Adam touched his nose and said, "Not it!"

Guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm probably going to have to drop out. I didn't realise that the game would last over a month (which the length isn't a bad thing, for the record), and I'm leaving tomorrow and will be gone till the 17th I will definitely have internet access from my phone after the 13th, but I'm not sure how often I'll be able to check in between the 9th and then. It's likely that I'll be able to come in every day or every other day at that point, but if you guys would rather not bank on that I'll step out

Adam glanced at Etc. to see what she thought, then to Pepper, then back to Wildmaven. And then he shrugged.

"We're wasting time," Wildmaven said, looking over her shoulder in the direction of the helicopter drop. "If this doesn't work, we'll have to come up with another plan." She locked eyes with Adam. "Just start the boat."

The boat is guaranteed to start because of Etc's actions.

Wildmaven got tired of waiting for Adam. She climbed into the boat and reached past him, starting the boat. Once it was running, she stepped back until she was out of his reach, then smiled and tilted her head slightly. "You were wrong," she said. "You ARE it." That said, she pulled her Glock out of the pocket of her robe, aimed it at his head, and fired.

Three shots rang out!

The first shot grazing Adam's ear. Maven recoiled and squeezed the trigger twice more. Both bullets hitting Adam squarely in the chest. Adam let out a yell and collapsed into the boat.

Blood dripped into the bottom of the boat.

Etc and Pepper were stunned. They didn't know what to say. Adam lay unmoving, a lump of flesh like so many zombies in this town.

It was time to get out of Brindol.
