From what i've seen posted, i think they intend the next phase to be around the end of the year (forums can opt to be finally converted early), and at the end of march for ALL forums to be converted
But things can change, treat this as speculation

If I decide to do this, I want to make sure that it will not affect my current forum in any way. I know nothing about coding, PHP, etc. and I wouldn't want my forum to be "messed with" in any way. So my question is, will this affect my current forum?

BetaZone does not affect your current forum at all.

Converting a forum in BetaZone creates a completely different copy of your forum that you can play with without affecting your actual forum. So anything you do on your BetaZone forum won't affect your current forum.

Related question: How long after the forums convert for real, will the beta copies of them still be available? I know I'll want to use my beta as a "cheat sheet" to get my newly converted forums updated with all the tweaks it'll need, too.

Any word when More of the invites will be sent and what size the groups are like as Im curious how much longer Im gonna wait. ?? Any info much appreciated.

Any news as yet on potential dates when we could be looking at being able to transfer the main V4.5 forum onto the V5 software? I know were still in BETA at the moment, just wondering if there is a general timescale at this stage, such as 3, 6, 12 or 18 months etc.?

I received a key yesterday for a forum I submitted the middle of last week. They are getting them out as fast as they can, be patient.

Last I heard they are planning the Transition period (where admins can choose if they want to upgrade) by the end of the year then by March everyone will be upgraded, no promises though.

Sorry if this has been answered already but will the modifications I make to the betazone stick when the conversion happens in the future or will I have to redo all the changes I am making right now to the v5 boards?

I ask because I really don't want to be taking a lot of time to modify the new stuff if the changes will all be reset when the conversion takes place.
