You can still be signed into multiple forums at once and you can have those forums open in multiple windows/tabs at once. You can't be multiple accounts on the same forum at once. At least not in the same browser. It's no different than now. OK, but I will be able to keep my "test" account, right? I have two accounts on my forum. My main Admin account, and one I use to test out changes I've made to my board to make sure that regular accounts can see what they're supposed to but not anything more, or to try and see what people on my forum are talking about if they are having issues with something.

Yes, i actually have 2 accounts here, and using the account switch option at the bottom i can change in 2 clicks, Or i could be in both accounts if i use a different browser for each (useful if making changes)

What do you mean by "a different browser?" Does this mean that if I open two IE windows I can be in both of my accounts at the same time?

Oh, then I won't be able to do that. I only use IE.
Thank you for the replies though. Much appreciated.

I just rewatched the linking global accounts video and here's something it doesn't answer. Hoping someone can.
When my forum goes live, how do I log in? I have a global account for Support and my test site. What will happen when my site goes live and I log into it for the first time?
Also, I have a group of moderators who have logged into the test site, so they too have upgraded their accounts. But they only use the one Proboards forum. So what happens with them when the forum goes live (my plan is for it to go live next weekend)? How do they log in, considering they have already gone through the upgrade process on the test site? They are asking me this question and I can't answer.
Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I am finding this very confusing because I have multiple ways of logging in depending on whether I'm on the test site or the current V4 site. So I'm still unclear. When we go live, do I (and my moderators who have already upgraded their accounts on the test site) enter the V4 Username and Password, or the upgraded Global username and password?

When we go live, do I (and my moderators who have already upgraded their accounts on the test site) enter the V4 Username and Password, or the upgraded Global username and password? The system handles everything itself. If you convert your forum to v5 next weekend and then go to it. You will click login, just like normal. Enter your username and password for the forum account you are trying to log in to. One of three things will then happen depending on what is going on with your accounts.1) The email address on that forum account has not been been upgraded yet. You will be taken through the upgrade process and make a new global account. 2) The email address on that forum account has not been been upgraded yet. On the page where you confirm the details you will change the email address to the one you use for your global account here on Support. The system will guide you through the linking process. The forum account will link to your global account. But most likely of all...3) The email address on that forum account is the same as the one on your global account here. The system will guide you through the linking process. The forum account will link to your global account. Option 3 is the most likely since you are talking to me here on Support (and you already have a global account). Most people don't use multiple email addresses so all their accounts will be prompted to link during the upgrade process. If it's your members very first time in v5 anywhere it will be option 1. And if someone had different emails on different accounts they would either create additional global accounts using option 1 or they would link all their accounts doing option 2. Everyone will go through one of the above steps. But before our system knows what step is the correct one you have to enter your username and password for the forum account you are trying to access. So basically... JUST LOG IN. I hope that cleared it up for you.

Alright I prefer the email log in over the username one, and I want to set it for email, how do I do that?

Alright I prefer the email log in over the username one, and I want to set it for email, how do I do that? By default you can do both. If you want email only click this icon in the bottom right . Change your Security setting.

As the admin for our site, I didn't pay attention to being able to Upgrade. Hence I didn't take the opportunity to change my email address. Is there a way to do that for the admin?

Quick question: I have a betazone forum and am considering upgrading my actual v4.5 forum sometime this week, will the betazone forum(and accounts on the beta I've linked to my global account) be deleted upon upgrade?
Given that this is the case, we just simply log into our accounts on the upgraded forum and complete the linking process, with no conflict between previous linked accounts(betazone) and newly linked accounts(original forum) with the same username?
I believe this is the case, but wanted to post here in case any other users had been wondering the same thing and needed clarification.
