Hi I've installed this and it works fine (tho' my Firefox user gets the 'added html'), I'm pointing it to a bunch of ani-gifs hosted on a Google Sites page, they appear but don't animate Any ideas?? tia Brian The issue with the added HTML has been fixed in version 3.2.6. That is now available in the library or from the link in the quote in my post above (3.2.61). As for the animated .gif issue, that shouldn't be a problem.. Could you please leave a link to your forum so I can take a look, or if you prefer, you can PM me your smiley array so I can try to see what's going on...

Many thanks for getting back so quickly - I've just checked and the installed version is 'Version 3.2.6 Beta' (installed via the 'add plug-in' link via forum admin. Forum link is gsduk.boards.net/I'll PM you the array.

We worked out a fix in the PM, FYI I had the array pointing to Google's 'short' URLS: sites.google.com/site/sitename/somepath/airquote.gifBut the true (long) address is something like: https%3A//37283e05-a-62cb3a1a-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/sitename/somepath/airquote.gif%3Fattachauth%3DANoY7cpK7NXRzeEY0NuuioRjnhSpD9f37dJal-KuOPIjqrqz1V7_JO_F2p6sT49C3sThKyE3GL2kAksq5P9j3dKFmn5SIIeUY2BQ601RvmSC0viv9ZkY7TKCT-yjR2QO0xlpKmSNGRpltCAftKpZIIHwKDGNN1d_wSsNYxs85nx_rZ0MxvBWbxBgHEn_PybK0sAsYW0-lbkRmyXJ1CcBy4eNVbz52zph07_I4OsusbaTNNb7jF8wRvk%253D%26attredirects%3D0 Something to do with permissions (tho' I'd set them to 'world' on the site)?? Let's hope Google don't change those links, as they seem to periodically on Google Photos

Turns out I was wrong about my links working It worked for _me_ - but that was beacause I'm always logged in to Google. Users got a variety of effects, but the animated smileys never worked. I've tried 5 browsers on two platforms, on a variety of pic-sharing sites - can't find one that works reliably for all users. It seems that 'modern' browsers see the smiley links as 're-directs' and assume they're harmful code?? Best result so far is with imgur - but imgur won't let me give the .GIFs meaningful names So I decided to remove the 'Select Smiley' button as just being confusing. I added your code from a few pages back. The 'Select Smiley' button does disappear, but now I've got a button 'Disable Smilies' which I also don't want Any hints or suggestions, please?? tia

Any image host worth it's salt should allow animated .gifs, some may create a thumbnail of your image that will not animate, but you should have the option touse the true URL... To remove the 'Disable Smilies' option, add this to the plugin's 'Popup CSS'.. .no-smiles { display: none!important; }

I would like them on the side and not showing in codes but the actual image itself. How can I do this please?

To the right of the reply box. Right now its very visible in the row with the original smilies and it just shows the symbols and not the smilies.
