I've been playing around ... I was originally going to do something like Peter's design (the style not the colors) but then saw he did it and didn't want to be like him

I've still got plenty to do and will end up moving the "news feed" just haven't figured out where yet, I'll probably move it where the Nav Tree is. dunno.

Still working on it obviously, it's a pain to get everything look good again and a lot of codes stopped working, but I'll keep trying to make V5 look as close to the original.

This is my forum... It's for my off-road club. Pretty chuffed with it so-far. Have to say my coding skills are very very limited so I was a bit worried about having to "rebuild"... But I've been very pleasantly surprised.... Can't wait for it to go live now.....

I get the feeling yours would be way better, though, given your extensive background in coding compared to mine.

Lol, you want my recipe? Take V4 forum, copy source into text document, replace old stuff with new stuff.

And somewhere along the way is me working the home page's {if} statements for everything, adding in $[current_user] stuff and all those other variables, and making the old CSS classes utilize the @variables from the Easy Theme Creator and the Visual Editor.

I was gonna remake the whole thing to just look like V4, but not use V4's HTML, but I wanted to see if I could make the old codes work if I just made it generate the same HTML. Some do, several don't.
