Time restriction on modifying posts.

OK, then unless I'm missing something, I'm left with no apparent way to have the timeout plugin enabled and allow selected non-staffers to edit their own posts indefinitely. Can you think of a way to do that?

One possibility is for the plugin to support a list of "exceptions", member names for whom the timeout doesn't apply. These could be entered in the plugin's configuration area. Thoughts?

The problem seems to be solved...I didn't realize there was a "staff" checkbox in the member groups settings (Craig pointed that out to me), and by turning that on, the plugin isn't interfering any more.

Hey Todge, I've installed the plugin .. however, it doesn't seem to be working right.  I had a thread going here, until Ricky suggested I post here as he couldn't figure it out.  Any thoughts?

I did, however, what about the edit, though? The idea behind the thread/board I'm trying to remove both edit/delete from ... is that, each member must post the player they believe that will win the Super Bowl this season for our league. Whatever they post is it ... they cannot go back and edit or delete and make a new post .. especially, down the road when the season starts to really develop. So, both edit and delete must go. Removing just the delete button would still allow them to edit.

No, it's still activated. It's at the top of the plugins list.

Edit:  This is what I have the placement section ... the first is the board, the 2nd is the category and 3rd is the thread number.

If you want it only to effect the one thread, then you only need the thread number. But can you put 'Global' into the plugin settings and see if it works forum wide please.

The thing is, I cannot see the plugin in your source code, so I'm guessing that's what's wrong.

I'm guessing something has gone wrong with the instillation, so could you please delete the plugin, refresh the page, then re-install it and see if that works.

Strange.. I can't see the thread you have it set to work on, so could you please add it to an open thread too, or put 'Global' in the Restrictions box so I can take a closer look.
