Well heck, Todge, it seems like the major conversion messed up the plugin. It still works in the Quick Reply, but now, in the Reply area, all the members get is the text. hootyowl.proboards.com/

Not a problem, your updated code is already done... PluginReplace your current plugin with this version (v1.7.5), remember to copy your smilie array first, then all should be good.

Wow, you're quick! Thanks.
ETA: If anyone is having a problem getting this to work, try moving it up in the plugins, that's what I had to do.

Todge, I don't know what was going on. At my site, the Quick Reply additional smilies were was working fine, but the Reply version was not. It wasn't just me, a friend had the same problem. So I installed your new plugin today at my test site and it was working fine. But I did not install it at my regular site... no special reason, just busy. But now, the older plugin is working at my regular site. I'm not going to question this, the rhyme nor reason, it is just one of those things... the phase of the moon perhaps? Or it's two for one pizza night? Who knows. I think Proboards is still is such a state of flux that we can expect a lot of quirks for the next few months.
But I do love this plugin, so do my members, and I thank you for creating it for us.

No worries.. If you're not having problems with the older code, then there's no need to 'fix' it.
The new code fixes the AJAX error problem you can get with the older code too.

Thanks, Todge. I didn't have nearly the problem with the AJAX error that others were having, mostly because I use quick reply, (Ok, that's a guess.) I did have it, but not lately.
I do want to tell you that this plugin is like an old friend and a comfort zone for me. I think others that are using it feel the same way. Thank you very much for making this for us.

It's a good guess, posting from quick reply or the UBBC side of the editor would not throw up errors, but the Visual (Preview) side did. And you are most welcome. Hopefully it will behave itself from here on in.

Thank you for the response, Todge. I am not the only one here that knows you are one of the hidden treasures at Probards.

hootyowl.proboards.com/Hi Todge, got myself a nuisance problem. I cannot predict nor recreate it for you to see. For some crazy reason, the drop down smilie menu in Quick Reply plays peekaboo, now you see me now you don't. It works fine in Reply. I cannot figure out the triggers for the disappearance of this plugin. I am using version 1.7.5. I don't see anyone else asking about this here, but I bet I am not the only one it is happening to. I've asked my members to experiment and some can see it and some cannot, so maybe it is browser specific? Just don't know. I did try moving it up and down over the past week, but that didn't seem to have an effect. I didn't know if there had been another "push" here at Proboards that might be interfering. Any ideas? Thank you for your help. JJ ETA: The default smilies do work in Quick Reply (Even though I have replaced all of them.)

Hello JJI just imported JJ Smilie Dropdown plugin (test site) and have no issues in the Quick Reply area: I did find that when I have both JJ Smilie Dropdown and Smilie Dropdown with option to view all enabled, that the CSS for the Smilie Dropdown does not work. Will keep an eye on it (test site) for a few days and see if I can see any problems of it showing or not showing.

Hello again JJ...
I may have jumped the gun here and I'm assuming you are using only JJ Smilie Dropdown and not Smilie Dropdown with option to view all as mentioned above.
That explains why Smilie Dropdown with option to view all CSS was not working for me.

Yes, I am using the JJ smilie plugin. Interesting, aRMY83, you have two drop down things in the right, I only have one. This was the first time I have seen that beauty on the right in several hours! Darned thing is driving me crazy!

Ahh, ok, Ron, that makes sense. I don't use the fancy smilie plugin, I just have lots of little smilies in mine, like the old one made years ago.

Hmmmm.. v1.7.5 is working faultlessly on my forum.
I see you are using IE10, I'm afraid I'm stuck at 8 as MS, in their wisdom, refuse to release IE9 and above for XP, so if it is a browser problem, this is gonna be fun (not)..
Have you tried different browsers to see if the problem persists?
