You can already see member email addresses in their profiles. So, if you have limited registration, and see the notification in your own profile about a member pending, you can click on their name to go to *their* profile and see the email there.

I need to do it after they've signed up as well.  The members that will register should have already done so and the ones that have already signed up I want to verify they are member which I will continue access to the forum.  What I am doing is comparing my member base from a Google group that I had to throw together very very quickly until I could figure something out more long term.  I just want to make sure that the people have signed up for the forum are not part of another smaller group which I do not want to allow.  I know it is confusing, but explaining it would be getting off topic.

And the topic is easily being able to compare current forum member email addresses with the temporary Google group.  If they don't match up, they will then be asked for further verification, if they can't verify the identity, they'll be banned/deleted from the forum.  Right now the only way to do it is to have the Google group email list and go through each forum member profile and see if they are on the Google list.  I'm looking for a quicker way to get forum member email addresses.  Having them displayed (only for the admin) in the >Members>List view would be one way, being able to export to another format, .csv, .txt would be another possibility.  And I do understand the concern about data mining.  But as admins shouldn't we be able to have easy access to member info?

Yes, I do understand that will be out by 4/29. But my question is in what form or where? Will the email addresses be listed in >Member>List? That's what I am asking. A few posts earlier stated that it had been release.

Thanks Patrick. I'll take a look. Another quick question. And by changing the layout, member emails will only be seen by the admin in that view?

There should be fields that we can customize.

I think the members should have the choice to hide their email address from everyone (including staff) ~ just as they can with their birthday.

It should be their decision how they want their privacy shared.

I disagree.  At the very least the email should be view-able the admin.  I do agree that they should have the option drawing the analogy with the birthday, I think that's a good idea. However, as the admin, I should have access to information about my members.  I don't mean down to the level of knowing passwords, but IPs and email I would like to know and have easily obtainable access.

Maybe put a "disclaimer" or short note, that even though the email is hidden to other members, the email address is not hidden from admin and/or some of the staff.

This may be against the Terms of Service, as we are not allowed to harvest personal information.

I realized later that I have the ability to export member info out of my Google group.  So it shouldn't be a Terms of Service issue, depending on the content of the ToS.

As Admin, I can't see any e mail addresses yet in members' profiles or even my own! I can see the options about who it can be viewed by, but not the e mail itself. Has it not been rolled out to all the forums yet?
