Guest IP's and totally confused !!

I have read all (!!) the threads on seeing Guest Ip's and from being frightened to death with one that says I have to start afresh with my skins and then change this, that or the other...to just clicking on the Guests....

Can someone please tell in words of one syllable how I get the Guest IP's to show please??

A step by step for grannies please!!

If you have modified the home template, then it will not have updated to show. You will need to manually change the template.

<tr><td>$[total_staff_online] Staff, $[total_members_online] Member{if $[total_members_online] != 1}s{/if}, {if $[view_guests_online_link]}<a href="#" class="$[view_guests_online_link.class]">{/if}$[total_guests_online] Guest{if $[total_guests_online] != 1}s{/if}{if $[view_guests_online_link]}</a>{/if}.</td></tr>


That is the line in your template that shows the staff, members and guest numbers online, with the guests made a link. So replace that line into your home template.

That is for the current users online, and not 24 hours.

The code doesn't c and p well does it.

Which part do I need to replace?

That's the users online in past 24 hours. You need the current users online section. Unless you have changed it, it will start off pretty much like i posted it, so look for this:

<tr><td>$[total_staff_online] Staff

and replace upto the next </tr> with what i posted.

So I reset the Home template to default - I can now see IP's of guests and which members have been online over the last 24 hours.

Go ahead and try rosefriend. It does work properly, it is just that Rita has added the code and not replaced it, hence it showing twice.
