Copy that section of the template here I didn't add anything in the end - I just reset the template to default. I thought I'd copied the code wrongly or put it in the wrong place which is why I ended up seeing it twice as per my screen shot.

If you have modified the home template, then it will not have updated to show. You will need to manually change the template. <tr><td>$[total_staff_online] Staff, $[total_members_online] Member{if $[total_members_online] != 1}s{/if}, {if $[view_guests_online_link]}<a href="#" class="$[view_guests_online_link.class]">{/if}$[total_guests_online] Guest{if $[total_guests_online] != 1}s{/if}{if $[view_guests_online_link]}</a>{/if}.</td></tr>
That is the line in your template that shows the staff, members and guest numbers online, with the guests made a link. So replace that line into your home template. That is for the current users online, and not 24 hours. This is how it already was, on my theme, and did not help. Here is what I had posted in support board: I tried copy/paste of above, but it did not make any difference. Also, I also tried this plugin on the same Err Bear theme here at PB Support. Same results, worked on test, but not regular forum. This is an awesome plugin, from what I can see, and I really would like it on my main site.

This is a year and a half old thread burke. Some things may have changed which will make what i posted redundant. Bare in mind that this topic was about a change made to the template that only affected default templates [ as in those which weren't changed at all ], and you thus needed to manually make the update. Any forums made since then will not have that problem, so am not entirely sure your issue is relevant to this topic. Please start a new topic.

Craig, I was led to this topic, and told to follow it. So, I was only doing as told. However, I was led to believe it was the support topic for the plugin, which I mistakenly did not read the thread title very well, until after I posted....LOL By the way, as stated above, I did start new topic. However, the age of my forum, this could have been, as I think the theme I modified, was the original default, but looks like I must have copied the fix before.

You should know better than to post the same issue in 2 places And to not even link to said topic, poor, poor form

Thanks, I've just made this amendment too.
It copy/pastes badly as the line seems too long for the editor. Had to add the r> manually at the end.

theaudiostandard.net/I now have a spurious >> just above the Users Online section of the Home Page. Could someone cleverer than me please take a look as I can't see anything obvious?

MartinT - The code wasn't too long for the editor, just not all of it was displayed within the window and was hidden. Manually adding to the code produced the extra ">>" - which I removed for you. Tip for the CSS and template editors: In the upper-right corner of the editor window are 3 buttons: • Clicking the first button makes the editor window full screen. • Clicking the second button wraps the code lines so all code remains visible within the editor window. • Clicking the third button changes the 'theme' of the editor window (code text and background colors). All three buttons toggle the action, so clicking the button again returns it to it's previous state. ___________________ By the way, replying to an older thread - especially one that's month's, or in this case year's old - is usually frowned on. It may cause confusion if the thread contains older or outdated information; as well as it messes with our internal metrics since we've already had this thread categorized and marked as resolved. Moving forward please just create your own thread and then link to the older thread as a reference. Thanks!

Thank you so much, Scott. I appreciate your help.
Sorry for adding to another post, I'm usually careful about that but thought it relevant to the overall thread subject.
