I will look into that, but my concern will be what happens if two people happen to reply to the same invitation.. writing keys doesnt work as well as eBay.. there is a great potential for collision there...

I like the idea as long as once the two people are playing it becomes those two and not open for someone else to jump in like a 'community' game.

Right now we can only play chess matches against other people when its already planned. Which I love in itself, however I was wondering if there's a way to have it almost as an 'open table' type affair. I thought of doing that but then there's the issue of where without breaking the In Character/Out of Character divide - as in how could two characters fluidly seem to decide on playing a game of chess if that makes sense?

By being online at the same time and choosing to play? That's what my members do.

added Peter's "snapshot" code to the boards. now you can click the icon underneath to pop up an image that can be saved of the board and placements.

No, I think they were just being difficult. They were using FF 28, I use FF 27 and saw the board just fine. I think their problem was they didn't like having to hit the your turn button to see the whole board. But once you did, you could see the whole forum and then move your piece. I fixed that now by widening the forum.

I did notice that the notify button was sporadic. Sometimes it showed and sometimes not. Sometimes I could refresh and it would be there other times it didn't show up, for quite a while. Anyone else have an issue with that button?

that button will only show IF the other person didnt get the automatic notification. its a safety feature. if you dont see it, that means the notification went through.

now chrome has been giving me problems lately on keys, so if you use chrome that might be part of things.

Oh ok, and no, I use FF, but I know some of my members use chrome.
