Recent Threads Plugin Request ????

Would it be possible, to put advertising over there as well, I'd prefer to have it on the sides rather than top and bottom. It would be additional to the pre existing ads.

Todge, a while back I had requested a plug in that would list the top 10 most recent threads new or otherwise for each of the categories to be in a sidebar like what you are doing. Granted it won't be sectioned by categories but you are in that area. Can it hold more than 10?

This ad thing. My site is ad free. If you are are going to have a placeholder for ads, could that spot be used for an image or some other text instead?

This next question is the tough one. When having more than one theme, it become hard to make some plug ins look good on all themes, just depends of course, but will or could it be customizable that way? If not its not a problem. I usually try them out and if it doesn't work with all, I just disable it, I just thought I'd ask.

Below the boxes, I think. It would be to generate revenue to get rid of the existing ones, haha. I hate them being on the top, so putting them on the side makes them less annoying and more appealing, IMO. 

I dont know, really. A choice of either? Either top or bottom......I have no idea which though. Leaning toward bottom. it wouldn't be that hard to move though, right? Can't you just cut paste in the CSS further down/up?

Will there be a set number of threads or will it be flexible? 

ace Of Charts, I think it could be modified....this should b easier as you can use the recent threads link and put it into this format...

Advertisements will NOT be added, but I will add the option to have an extra cell which can be used however you like, including as an advertisement box, and you will have the choice to have it top, middle or bottom.

Announcements and Recent Threads will be fixed, but you will have the ability to disable Announcements if you wish, displaying only the Recent Threads or the Recent Threads and the additional cell if you so wish.

The amount of threads listed will be up to the admin, but will be limited due to the limitations of the key.

This is not a promise, but I will look into adding an option whether to display recently CREATED thread, recently updated threads. The code will not be able to display the recently updated threads that have not been updated since the plugin was installed, sorry.. That's simply not possible.

Making it fit all themes will not be easy, but I'll look into that too. No promises though.

Ok, my theme made another plugin glitch so I guess well see how it goes. Just post it when you're ready and I'll see if it works. Thanks again, man.

Thanks for checking into all the various requests. I knew the theme thing might be problematic, but something just occurred to me and it might help. I hope I explain this right, so bear with me, ok?

Right now on my themes I use the widget that shows all the flags of the different countries that have visited my site. I needed to make that work with all themes color schemes. What works is Wormopolis plug in HTML injector (wormopolis did you change the name of this?) Ok I went to grab the link and saw the comments. LMAO options!

Anyway, Todge maybe we could use wormopolis' plug in to help make yours theme specific. It would allow admins to select the background color and text and hyperlink colors. Can that work?

I haven't tried it with another plug in, I use it to alter the widget appearance. guess we can try and see what happens. lol

Any updates? Pretty excited for this. How wide will it be? Can you change the width?

You can change the overall width, and the height of each cell, choose whether to display the Announcements cell or not, and have different announcements to staff, members or guests. Choose which side of the forum to have it on, and whether to offset the forum to account for the extra cells, choose whether to have it static or scroll with the forum, and which boards to have it displayed on, in any, and each box can have separate styling, and you will also have the option to have a third fully editable cell placed where you like.

As for updates, I'm having a little trouble grabbing the new thread ID numbers, I have a work around, but I'd rather not use that unless I have to, so at the moment we are at a halt until I find out whether what I'm trying to do is even possible.
