I'm glad it's working again, toetapping.
I'm bookmarking this page, too ~ just in case mine stops working!
I didn't want to post until I checked to be sure it still was.

I think it must have been when FF went to 36.0 as I had tried earlier when my FF was still at 35.0.1 and had no issues with the up button. Just thought you might like to know.

Thank you for pointing that out, Lynx.
My FF wasn't updated. As soon as I updated from 35.0.1 to 36.0 , my up/down doesn't work anymore either.
Brian, the code you gave Toetapping isn't working on my board.
Help would be appreciated.
Thank you!

♥ ℒʊ√ ♥/ Chrissie: That's because the code is specifically for their forum and targets elements on their forum based on differently structured HTML than yours. If you want it to work on yours, add class="to-top" to the <a> tag of your Top button and class="to-bottom" to the <a> tag of your Bottom button, then use this code instead:

Thank you, Brian! That worked.
But what a true PITA for me trying to remember which of my themes have this feature and which don't.
Boo on Firefox for making this type of change.

kimmypopsracing.proboards.com/My back to top is not working. I posted the new code in it but its still not working. I don't know how you add/change the extra code 'If you want it to work on yours, add class="to-top" to the <a> tag of your Top button and class="to-bottom" to the <a> tag of your Bottom button, then use this code instead: Can somebody change it on my forum please? Thank you.

Once those are both done the last code I posted in this thread should work.

kimmypopsThis is what I did to get mine to work (you can test it here). Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Thread > Post List (tab) - copy Brian's code above and place it as the first lines, so it looks like this at the top: Then scroll down and add this in (you may have to adjust where you want it) - look to where you see the line starting with <a class="to-top"

I've sorted Kimmypops' Top/Bottom links. Thanks to Brian for the code and MSG for where to find the links code for the classes - I couldn't remember! I pasted the larger section of code in the Global Header. BC

CheatAreZeeI don't use buttons on my forum for the back to the top in each post. I just had text. This is what I used to do. Go to Theme , Layout Template, Thread , Post list. Find this section of the code: around line 34 or 47
{if $[post.edited]} <div class="edited_by"><span class="italic">Last Edit:</span> $[post.edited.date] by $[post.edited.by_user]{if $[post.edited.reason]}: $[post.edited.reason]{/if}</div> {/if}
And replace it with this: <div class="edited_by">{if $[post.edited]}<span class="italic">Last Edit:</span> $[post.edited.date] by $[post.edited.by_user]{if $[post.edited.reason]}: $[post.edited.reason]{/if} - {/if}<a onclick="scroll(0,0);">Back to Top</a></div> FF's upgrade made it not work. Can you help me fix it?
