The rights of the individual should take precedence over the rights of the group, and the possibility of content deletion serves as a deterrent to malicious actions by the Admin's on a member that they just don't like. I feel like this to as well. I'm not comfortable with the personal rights are put under the rights of a group of individuals. The Admin on Last Hearth wants my thread on the Inversion Project restored so they can claim my essay. I'm the person that requested that my posts be deleted, because LH is now trying to claim my work and direct traffic using my content. When I joined LH your previous policy was in place. Had I truly understood what this new policy entails, I would have never joined the site in the first place. Kami covered removal of intellectual property pretty well already. If you own the rights to that content and can provide evidence of that copyright you can submit a DMCA takedown notice on our DMCA page. Otherwise, there's not much that can be done in regards to that content as your right to access and remove it is otherwise dictated by the forum itself. The previous policy was more of an unlisted courtesy than a mandatory action.

I did n't know it was more unlisted courtesy than mandatory policies. Can we make that courtesy into a mandatory an put it inside the service terms agreement policy to take our property away from the forum were not in anymore?

Hi everyone, This thread is not here to debate our policies. Please do not hijack someone's support thread. We not only reached out to the community for comment but also spoke internally about how to best address the policy. We came up with a solution that we feel both respects user privacy and results in less disruption to forums. This decision was not made lightly or without thought to consequence. As Brian said previously, if there are copyright issues involved in specific posts, we provide our DMCA policies hereI am now locking this thread. The support staff will follow-up with the OP about their content restore in this thread with updates.
