Sorry for the slow response with an update but with Peter's latest update (Cloudinary File Upload v1.3.0.pbp) I removed it and reinstalled it and whatever was causing the screen to hang went away and we are successfully using the Cloudinary widget v.2 now.

This doesn't help us with the root of the problem which is that the plugin library still contains the deprecated widget and the mod author appears to have abandoned it but with the help of Peter and AleksandarCloudinary we do have a working solution for patching the plugin.

Found the Cloudinary button was not showing on the edit post page. After adding the following to the second line of the javascript it is now showing up.

||pb.data("route").name=='edit_post'

The second line now reads, this is in the latest version on my forum - 1.3.0.

It took too long for anybody to get back to me so I just got rid of everything. Thank you though, Nscalerr .
