Forum URL: bigballofyarn.proboards.comI did see this marked as a feature request and was wondering if this was yet possible. Reference: support.proboards.com/thread/645798/merge-accounts-posts-feature-requestThere are some old members who do not have access to their old email addresses and cannot use the "forgot password" function. If they were to create a new account, would there be a way to merge the old account with the new one? Or, if I deleted the old account and they re-registered with the same username, can I merge all old posts with the new account so that all the old posts DO NOT show up under a guest account? Thank you kindly.

Hi,
I'd also like to add that we have no plans to ever make this possible.
There is an inherent insecurity to this proposal. The ability to literally take over an existing account and absorb and claim ownership of posts is not something we would allow. The only reason we do this for admin accounts (by simply transferring ownership of the account) is because there isn't another way to do it. Even with that we keep meticulous records of transfers so that we can always clearly identify when the account changed hands.

Thank you.
