Forum URL: bravegalaxy.boards.net/So I asked about this not too long ago, and installed a plug-in to add a timer for when the edit post feature will show up, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. I set the time to 20, but there doesn't seem to be a unit. I assumed it was minutes, but as posts still seem to display the "Edited X minutes ago" even when it's been less than 20 minutes is that not the case?

Reya, plugins currently do not work with the mobile version of our software. This most likely is the case for still seeing post edit times.

I switched to the desktop view and tried editing it again, the plug-in still did not turn on.

The plugin says to list no boards if you want it to work everywhere and I see you've listed a lot of boards. Perhaps you missed one? I have this plugin working on a test forum of mine and I haven't found any issues.

I had every board selected, tried to select no boards and it still didn't work. Apologies I can't send screenshots right now because I am on my phone.

The plugin doesn't work on the specific theme you're using. It appears that the edit was renamed so the plugin is trying to hide it and can't.

Is there any way to fix this? I have it enabled in the settings of the plug-in.

It can find the .edited_by date because that class remains intact but the .date class was removed from the creation date and replaced by a .posted-on class instead so the plugin cannot find it to do the calculations. You could try adding it back in: <span class="posted-on date"> Posted <abbr title="Thu Jun 20 2019 14:36:40 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)" class="o-timestamp time" data-timestamp="1561059400000">yesterday at 2:36pm</abbr> </span>

You can use the desktop version on your phone. Scroll down to the very bottom of the forum, it's in the bottom right corner.

If you look above, VanWoman84, the OP did: I switched to the desktop view and tried editing it again, the plug-in still did not turn on. Please be sure you are reading the entire thread before responding.

Thanks Kitty Katt, I misread this post Okay thank you, I will try this the next time I am on desktop. As "the next time I am on a desktop" as in a full size computer. My mistake.

Can you clarify where this coding may lie within the Layout Templates? I did a brief search of the Forum Wrapper and some other categories and couldn't seem to find it. Sorry for the delay.

Can you clarify where this coding may lie within the Layout Templates? I did a brief search of the Forum Wrapper and some other categories and couldn't seem to find it. Sorry for the delay. On that theme the "date" has been replaced by "posted-on" and a good number of elements rearranged so it obviously won't look like the default layout code shown above but the main thing to look for would be the $[post.created_on] variable and that would pretty much get you there. My suggestion was to put that date class back in there (keep the "posted-on" class if you needed it for custom rules or perhaps custom codes were depending on it to be there in order to identify which date this was)

Sorry for the blurry quality, but I attempted to replace all instances of the $[post.created_on] and the $[post.posted_on] with the $[post.date]. I also tried combinations of the two and these didn't seem to work out as the plug-in still didn't trigger.
