I am not one for politics and political debates but still read with interest and all I will say as a Scotsman in the UK and an outsider a lot of people I know and have talked to hope that Biden gets your votes for the simple fact that Trump has made America a laughing stock of the world and I agree with this.

I refuse to tell anyone who I am voting for since half the people I know will be upset with me. I get those who keep throwing bait at me trying to get my choice. Not worth the drama but, very annoying. Suffice it to say, whoever wins, come Thursday, at least 40% of Americans will be angry. I didn't vote and received just as much "smack." My boss told me, "You have to vote Christina. It's part of being an adult." Mind you, I did register to vote, but have never actually voted in my entire life. A lot of people I know never even registered to vote and claim they don't know how. I really don't think it matters. If you want to vote, then vote for whomever you support. If you don't want to vote because you don't support either candidate, then don't. This shouldn't break up friendships or relationships. What some people cannot or refuse to accept is that as an American, you are given one vote. You can do as you please with that vote. One of those things is called: "abstention". If I feel like none of the candidates represent my morals, values or beliefs then I can abstain and that is a form of voting. I have even heard those who say pick the lesser of two evils... I laugh and tell them that evil is still evil. I have abstained in the past but, I learned a valuable lesson: do not tell your hyper-political friends that you abstained. It makes their heads explode.

Well, I used my voice and my ballot to vote for Biden, and that's all that counts.

I know how you feel-yesterday was the first time I voted in a Presidential election in my life! The only other time I voted was when my husband was running for something LOL!

Didn't you hear? Nobody is going to win, we are going to govern ourselves!!! Anarchy is the most efficient form of government. Unfortunately, unless you have perfect people, it's harsh.

I just moved and registered to vote. Unfortunately, it wasn't submitted in time and I still don't have my voter registration card. Therefore, I was unable to vote. That being said, I am the same way as someone else in this thread. I don't care if we are voting for the lesser of two evils in any election. I will not vote if none of the candidates align with my morals and values. That is, indeed, a type of voting.
As for who will when this election. As of last night, Trump had PA, NC, and GA while Biden had just NV (as far as what was left to lock in votes. Now, all Trump has left is NC.
Biden is at 264 Electoral votes/270 and Trump is at 214/270... Pretty sure that Biden is going to win this. I would say that anything can happen, because it can... But, today, I know nothing... LOL

I will not vote if none of the candidates align with my morals and values. That is, indeed, a type of voting. Before I was of voting age I always believed I'd abstain from voting on the principle that both parties are substantially flawed. I strongly believe this still holds true, but as time has gone on some candidates in the primaries started upping their game and supporting causes I long believed to be pipe dreams. Those candidates unfortunately didn't emerge as the party's choice, but their participation brought awareness of those causes to the national stage, forcing the hand of any candidate who prevailed in the primary election and inspiring me to participate in the democratic process I had originally forsaken. I've been made painfully aware with each election I've participated in that there's no such thing as a perfect candidate. But the party (and by extension, the government) is more than just the presidential candidate. I feel more and more like our voices are being heard, so rather than lament that my favorite to win didn't make it in I've decided the bare minimum I can do is vote for the candidate I believe won't stand as a roadblock to progress during their tenure even if that progress ends up being incremental. I imagine that sounds synonymous with voting for the lesser of two evils, but my vote seems significantly more powerful in reining in the government than my moral high ground.

There's no such thing as a perfect person peroid. The thing that gets on my nerves are how everyone will be on ones side then next they turn on them after a leader shows they're worth it and people echo everything they say. Then when the one they didnt want in office gets in they repeat everything that person says say tell the end.
