where's the none of the above option Well, I suppose that some states could have voted Kanye West. THAT would have made things interesting.

Those are OK, but I'm more partial to Biden colas myself. Those are OK, but I'm more partial to Biden colas myself. Nah, Billy Beer for me! I prefer a good pint and celebrated when Trump got Thumped, that guy (Trump) made the USA the laughing stock of the world, welcome back the good old USA under Biden.

The good old USA hasn't really been the good old USA since Reagan was the Commander-in-Chief. That was the last time that the U.S. had true influence in the world and honest to goodness bipartisanship at home. I don't see either one of those returning under another very old career politician who needed the far left to thump for him in order to win. Once he ignores them, which he has already begun to do, I doubt we are going to see anything remotely close to the good old U.S. Add to this pot of stew is a vice president who is salivating over the very thought that she might be called Madam President and all you have is 4 more years on infighting and bickering in the childcare village of D.C.

I prefer a good pint and celebrated when Trump got Thumped, that guy (Trump) made the USA the laughing stock of the world, welcome back the good old USA under Biden. This is disturbing that someone who doesn't even live in our country seems to think they know what's best for our country. It would also be interesting to know where you get your "facts" from. However, since this thread needs to remain civil, I'll step back out here. Just to note though - the news media doesn't decide who's won and who's lost. That's the job of the Electoral Votes on December 14th.

The US is a) a big deal and b) the largest media producer in the world, so people abroad are going to follow what goes on here to some degree. After they follow it, they're going to form opinions. I'm a bit tired of the salt I'm seeing from various places, honestly. It's amusing, sure, and I do understand where it's coming from, but I'm still tired of it already. The last election went one way and this election went another; let's put away our denial and conspiracy theories and just accept it. A lot of people were upset when Trump won, but after four years he lost. The world keeps spinning, folks.

The problem here is that I haven't found any news station that isn't biased, at least to some degree - so there's also a lot of false information out there on both sides.

The problem here is that I haven't found any news station that isn't biased, at least to some degree - so there's also a lot of false information out there on both sides. All outlets have some degree of discernable bias, this is true. However, it's a fallacy to equate bias with false information. Trump did a tremendous amount of damage to this country by conflating the two concepts in his rhetoric in a bid to discredit anyone leveraging criticism against him. You were right when you referred to Caajscot (John)'s post as disturbing, though. It's truly disturbing how this country's standing in the world has plummeted amongst the citizens of our allies. The term "laughing stock" isn't something he came up with in isolation, I can assure you; it's a phrase used by people all over the world, from countries that used to hold the US in the highest regard. The results of this year's election may not change that, but necessary steps were taken to address a major detriment to our reputation.
