Have you gotten your Covid-19 vaccination?
I got mine yesterday after weeks of getting the runaround from the state and county. Our city set up a program and it was smooth as silk. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Also, I looked away during the injection and was surprised when she said "done". I didn't even feel the needle. No post injection symptoms at all.
I was kind of hoping for the Johnson & Johnson because it's one-and-done. But they were using the Pfizer, so okay fine.
Poll included. You can change your 'vote' if your status changes.

Thanks to the hospital I work at, I got both doses of the Moderna vaccine about 1 month ago. They were very efficient and I was impressed with how smoothly the clinic was run.

We got our J&J shots Monday. Other than some chills that night, no effects. EZ PZ.

Yep, I got the Moderna shot, and it was actually by accident! I was originally supposed to get it at the end of April, and I was mentioning that to someone in the pharmacy I was at. I explained how I hadn't seen my mom in over a year because of this. Well, the pharmacist heard me and said that if they have an unused shot, they would call me...and they did!
So I got my first one last week. Much more muscle soreness than I was expecting and some chills. I hear that the second shot may be worse - but it is what it is.

I haven't gotten it yet, and I honestly have no idea if I'm eligible yet. The guidelines and tier systems and everything have been confusing. I hope to find out something concrete sometime this week; I plan to get it asap!

Me and the wife have had our first one but now waiting for the second, silly way of doing it though, they sent us notification that we had to attend a centre the other side of town for the jab which took us over an hour on bus journeys to get there, but we found out 2 days beforehand that they were doing jabs just up the road from us, a 20 minute walk away or a 5-minute taxi journey.
When I found out 2 days before our jab I rang them up but they said sorry there were no cancellations and we had to go to the one they allocated to us by post, I said on the phone if you are going to send us notification for the second jab then please make sure it's at the medical centre just up the road from us and not halfway across town as we are both 70-year-old pensioners.

How is everyone getting their vaccines?? I'm pretty sure they aren't available in my area (Detroit) unless you're 65+.

How is everyone getting their vaccines?? I'm pretty sure they aren't available in my area (Detroit) unless you're 65+. Regulations vary from country to country. But in the US: First was Group 1aHealthcare workers Long term care residents and staff Then came Group 1b75 years+ not covered above Prioritized frontline responders School and child care staff Corrections staff and detained individuals Agriculture/food processing workers Other essential frontline workers Currently Group 1c are eligible 65-74 years old 50-64 with disabilities/pre-existing conditions Caregivers of children with special health care needs 16-49 with disabilities/pre-existing conditions So there have been a lot of people who were eligible for vaccination due to their occupation, regardless of their age.

Huh, yeah, that explains it. As a remote employee in my 30s I'm probably the last person that'll get a vaccine, but it's nice to know that my parents probably qualify. I should definitely bother them to ask their doctors about it.

How is everyone getting their vaccines?? I'm pretty sure they aren't available in my area (Detroit) unless you're 65+. My husband is over 65 and I have medical conditions that warranted it. Some pharmacies are opening it up to those outside the tiers if they have extra doses that would otherwise expire if not used.

I had my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in January, and due to the UK policy of waiting 12 weeks between doses to get more people with the first, I’m due my 2nd at the start of April. In the we’ve just started on the over 50s this week, but I know of several younger people with health conditions or who are carers who have already had it done. I had it done as a frontline healthcare worker, so it was super easy with it being done at the hospital where I work. I had a headache for a day and a half, and felt physically drained and exhausted for a couple of days. Nothing too extreme though.
