Forum URL: aaplfinance.proboards.comIn an effort to find ways to deal with spam accounts, I touched the Member Rank area a couple weeks ago. I think I edited the default one to have a post count of 5, and gave them a red star. Today I tried changing it to a useful number for general higher volume users, trying to set up a 1k level. I think I created the level and then deleted the other. But now I get an angry bear warning, and users that aren't part of a group have a listing of Blank Rank shown next to their posts. From support.proboards.com/thread/673147/member-rank-issue it sounds like things might have went south when I deleted the 0 post rank. I've tried to add it back, and it looks like it is there now in grey with a name of "new member" and a required post count of 0, but I'm still getting errors if I try to create a new rank group, and seeing "Blank Rank" next to users that aren't part of a group. Maybe a database field got messed up? It's not a critical issue for our page, but we'd like to fix it when you have a chance. Thanks!

4aapl - Ok, I was able to recreate the error. Give me a bit to see what's up.

4aapl - Unfortunately this is something beyond what I'm able to fix. I've sent this issue to our systems team.

Thanks for looking into it and for the update.
It would be great to have it fixed, but if there are bigger things to deal with going into the long weekend, it's no problem to wait.
Thanks

We're still hitting this issue on our site, after nearly 2 weeks. It's not a show stopper, but it would be nice to have it fixed. Let me know if you need anything else from me about it or to fix it.
Thanks

4aapl - I made the assumption this was taking care of and I should have followed up. Please accept my apology. I've escalated this issue with systems.

4aapl - this should be fixed now. Looks good. Thanks for getting it fixed. FWIW it would be a nice feature to be able to have a "rank" or other level set by how many "likes" a poster gets, or to go a step further a ratio of likes to posts, and another step beyond that would be that ratio on recent (30-90 day) posts. So far the users at our site are leaning towards not really caring about a rank based on how many posts a user has, but rather the quality of the post. Of course that's hard to quantify, but "likes" could get it pretty close. If proboards isn't really adding new features right now, just put it on the "wish list" in case things change in the future. For now we'll probably just go back to "member" for almost everyone, though possibly "new poster" for anyone under 10 posts. Thanks
