ProBoards -
1. Is there a way to disable making any modifications on the discussion forum unless it is the administrator, for example myself?

Hi Are we talking about certain modifications, or any and all modifications? Craig

unoamanii - Just to clarify further, are you referring to settings and features within the admin panel? Or more basic member functions like creating and replying to threads or editing posts?

Referencing making any and all modifications that would alter a post other then that of the original post that was created by the admin. What is the best way to protect the forum to insure the forum posts are not altered in any way but by the admin?

unoamanii - Initially only the forum admin can edit all posts, and a post creator (member) can only edit their posts. Beyond this, forum staff can edit a post ONLY if they belong to a member group that has this power enabled.

You mentioned,
Initially only the forum admin can edit all posts, and a post creator (member) can only edit their posts. Beyond this, forum staff can edit a post ONLY if they belong to a member group that has this power enabled.
Question
Referring to forum staff editing a post ONLY if they belong to a member group that has this power enabled, is this option enabled?
If so please advise. If this feature is enabled concerning forum staff belonging to a member group, can this feature be disabled indefindefinitely unless approved by admin referencing to myself or another admin I approve?
Please disable this feature if this feature is within my control, you have my permission or instruct me on how to do so.
If this feature is not enabled nor will be in the future, thank you for explaining the protocol.

For each group click the Edit button (at the far right). Under the first section "Threads, Posts, and Shoutbox" you want to set the Edit option to No then click on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. (You may wish to set the Delete option to No as well.) I recommend reading our Help Guide article on Preventing Forum Content Deletion
