soxprospects - I'm not aware of anything, but I've made an inquiry with our systems team.

FWIW when I test the RSS feed the reader says "line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:0: no element found"

soxprospects - do you know what IPs are being used to access the RSS info?

Sorry I'm not sure I know the answer to that. I use a website call feedwind as my aggregator, pointing to the URL forum.soxprospects.com/rss/public/board/4. Feedwind continues to work for my other RSS feeds like Google Blogger. I use validator.w3.org to check. The latest response is: This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations. line 1, column 238: Self reference doesn't match document location [help] ... rel="self" type="application/rss+xml" /><link>http://forum.soxprospects. ...

This particular issue is caused by ProBoards not using the proper URL in their atom tag. The feed-generating code apparently wasn't updated to reflect the fact that PB now serves all files via HTTPS, which produces a feed URL that doesn't match the URL in the href attribute. "Self" cannot be used as a link relationship unless the URL being referenced matches the URL of the current feed, which the validator can plainly see that it doesn't. Also, you were using the wrong URL for the RSS feed. Forums only have one general feed, none that are board-specific. Adding /board/4 to the end of the URL will also give that error (but PB still needs to make their change too, as it affects all forums' feeds). This is unlikely to be the cause of your feed reader issue given your other error message. I won't speculate as it may not be helpful, but I did want to take a moment to explain the validator's message.

Just chiming in to say that we've been having the same issue with our forum feed, as detailed in the replies to this thread here. I'm also finding that validators don't accept our forum's RSS URL as valid, but it still works on WordPress oddly enough.
