Mini profile background missing from theme

Hi!

Some weeks ago, we changed default theme (to Denim Indigo) and something went wrong with the old one (called Heretix). The worst problem is that the background disappeared from the mini profiles, but only in that theme. Anything we can do about it? I'm afraid that if we delete the plugin and reinstall it, all the customisation will disappear from the mini profiles.

I posted about it here: MPBG&TC (miniprofile background & text color) [lib support] a week back, but nobody has replied yet. Sorry if I come across as too pushy.

Please fix the typo in your forum's URL to boards.net so that people can access it.

Otherwise, all they'll see is "Hmmm… can't reach this page. Check if there is a typo in heretix.board.net. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN."  

If I come up with any ideas regarding your issue, I will let you know though. Best of luck.

You shouldn't give administrator access to anyone on here ( or anywhere ), including me. Should anything need that access, Scott will be able to take a look, as he will have access already. It is likely i will need to work with Scott on this one, so i may need to come back to this tomorrow.

In the meantime, could i ask, if you set it back to default, does it work again on that theme, or does it still not work on that theme?

Yes, I tried to do that, but it changed nothing. MPBG was still missing from 'Heretix' and intact on 'Denim Indigo', even while it wasn't the default them.

I really wasn't into themes until a new member named Peekaboo arrived and she has made most of the themes we have now. But althogh very skilled, she's unable to explain this error.

The entire thing started when I tasked her to create a new default theme as part of the 'facelift' in connection with our 10 year jubilee and we switched default themes. It took a while until I discovered the MPBG thing, thogh, so I'm not 100% sure that it was caused by the switch or something else that may have affected it a week or so later.

Does it work on all the other themes, except for that one?

I thought so, but when I asked Peekaboo to fix the broken banner on 'Green for you' right now, she said that when she was done, the MPBG didn't function there, too, anymore. Now, I remember that she also changed the banner on the 'Heretix' theme just after we had taken it off the default position. Maybe you should contact her directly, since she knows way more about themes than me.

Now, something else: A profile called 'speaks' just registered. I traced the IP to New Brunswick in Canada and the e-mail address doesn't match any known spammer's format. Could it be one of your fellow Support staff trying to help us or is it just a coincident that this person shows up now? I'll release them and see what happens...

The support staff wouldn't need to create an account to have a look. I am not an official support staff, hence why i needed to create an account.

Interesting. So both of the themes that the mini profile background doesn't work on have had a change to the banner.  I will tag Peekaboo  ( assuming it is the same one ) - what did you change on the banner, and if you reverse that change, does the mini profile background come back?
