I noticed you deleted the OP out of embarrassment, and I don't want to put you on the spot or anything, but I wanted to reassure you that the question is nothing to feel silly about.

In my experience over the last ~20 years I've been active in online spaces both as a participant and as a working professional, a vast majority of people actually have a very limited understanding about the concept of a "bot" as it applies to internet usage.

This isn't because of a lack of intelligence, and many times it's not even a lack of information, exactly, but rather because the word "bot" is about as useful as asking what's for dinner and being told "food". There are a lot of different types of bots, for a lot of different purposes, some good, some bad, and some neutral but can be used for either depending on the human using it.

"Guest" is a similar term here in the PB ecosystem.

The nebulousness of these terms, which then results in a lack of understanding about what may be applicable to a particular situation, can also be exploited by bad actors who like to fear-monger about the topic, which starts a cascade effect of people being genuinely concerned and spreading misinformation that is unfortunately just true-enough sounding that it passes a smell check.

No one is silly for being concerned or confused because something isn't clear.

All this rambling to say, please don't feel silly if you have a question. We've seen all sorts of questions on this Support Board, and as long as you're coming from a place of genuine intent to inquire and learn, there is no such thing as a stupid question. 

There isn't one unless you get someone to create a custom plugin that does what you want it to do in a more bespoke way for your specific forum needs. There's nothing built into PB that allows for this natively so the only solutions would be coded. This is the only one that currently exists, at least as far as for public use and not custom made for someone's forum specifically.

If you want to go down that route, you can request a plugin here -- Plugin Request Board -- but to levelset expectations there's no guarantee the request will be filled. The same caveat of it not working on mobile view will be applicable.

There's a plugin that lets you sort custom fields based on permissions. The only downside is anyone in a staff group will see all of them (an upside for me tho), and it doesn't work on mobile.

We use it on my forum and it works on my IC account as expected; my OOC account is admin level so it sees all of them but based on what i see from normal OOC account usage it works fine on them as well.

Is it that you can't embed, or that embeds posted today do not properly render the thumbnail?

The first would be a potential issue with PB, the second is likely an issue with IG and you'll have to wait it out. PB doesn't do anything as far as what is displayed, they just make it so that it can be displayed based on the info provided by IG.

Heya, tapping the bubble to clear the notif doesn't seem to work on the v6 alpha theme. I'm on mobile right now so I can't really change my theme to the v5 one to clear it since it's a struggle for me to use v5 on my phone. Any advice?
